Gobbocon 2019 - 1,200 Point - 1 day - 4 games - War Hammer Age of Sigmar Tournament

Sunday 14th April 2019 - 0900 to 1800

Southern War Gamers - Art Room - YMCA Holdfast Bay Community Centre, King George Avenue, Hove.
0900 Briefing and event finished by 1800

Price $30-00 includes lunch. Soft Drinks $1-50 and Bottled Water $1-00 available at the club.

The Event:
The tournament is a one day event, four rounds 1200 point Age of Sigmar matched play event using the Vanguard army composition from the Generals Handbook 2018

Tournament Schedule:

8.45 to 9.00: Sign In
9.00 to 11.00: Game 1.
11.00 to 1.00: Game 2.
1.00 to 1.30: Lunch and Army Presentation
1.30 to 3.30: Game 3
3.30 to 5.30: Game 4

All Battleplans, Realms and Realmscape Features will be randomly rolled for on the day of the event.

What to Bring:
Warscrolls, Rulebooks and FAQ’s required for your army.
Core Rules, Generals Handbook
Malign Sorcery if using.
2 Copies of Your Army List.
Dice, Tape Measure and other Markers.
Pen and Paper
3 Objective Markers

Tournament Format:
Into The Realms will be using the matched play rules from the Generals Hanbook, and will also use pre selected Realm Rules, Realm Spells and Realmscape rules from Malign Sorcery and the Core Rules.
Armies are chosen using the Matched Play requirements and the Vanguard force selection with a maximum of 1200 points.
Only warscrolls and Warscrolls Battalions with pitched battle profiles from the following sources may be used.
- Generals Handbook 2018
- Compendium Warscrolls 2017
- Forge world Compendiums 2018
- Any battle time released after the 30th of June 2018 will supersede the Generals Handbook.

Matchups and Scoring:

The first round will be randomly drawn. Each round after that will be Swiss drawn.
To create an enjoyable time for everyone, the T.O will try to avoid the pairing of Club Mates, Regular Opponents and Armies of the same Grand Alliance.

Match Scoring:
Each round you will receive a set amount of points based on the result of your games.

Major Victory: 15 points
Minor Victory: 12 points
Draw: 6 points
Minor Loss: 3 points
Major Loss: 1 point

Points Slain:

Pleas at the end of every game note down the total amount of points that enemies slain are worth. This will be your opponents kill points score which will be used for Tie-Breaking.

Painting Score:
Your army will gain a single point each round for each of the following painting criteria met. Up to a maximum of 5 points a round.
- [ ] Your army is fully painted to a tabletop standard (basecoat, layer, wash or highlight in any appropriate combination.
- [ ] At least half your army is painted to a Tabletop Standard.
- [ ] Your army is fully painted to a competition standard (determined by the T.O)
- [ ] Your army is fully based.
- [ ] Your army has a centrepiece model that is fully painted.
- [ ] Your army has some conversions.
- [ ] You have a display board for your army.
- [ ] Your army has a narrative backstory.

Composition and Sportsmanship:
There will be no composition score added to your total score, each player will be allowed to vote for favourite opponents, this will be used for tie breaking and for potential Sportsmanship awards (numbers depending).

Ideally (but suspect to numbers), there will be awards for 1st place, best of each grand alliance, sportsmanship and painting. Confirmation of eligible prizes will be announced early in the week of the Tournament.

Overall scoring:
Your final score is calculated in the following way
Battle 1 + Battle 2 + Battle 3 + Battle 4 + Painting Score.
In the event of ties score are broken in the following ways.

Sportsmanship Award:
A tie for the Sportsmanship award is broken in the following ways.
