I have nearly finished painting this force, surprising how much time you seem to have after a motorbike accident!
Even though the group I play with MAINLY use infantry forces, a couple do run tank/ tank heavy companies and I like having 10 teams, including 3 tank hunter teams. Its not just the Americans that can have heaps of AT weapons! Normally I run TRAINED armies if I can, so I end up with a minium of 8-10 platoons (even for my germans) but I still managed to get 8 platoons in. If I play a mission with reserves, I would have the Jagdpanzers, Heavy AA, and the 2 panzergrenadiers plus the HQ on the board to start with. I have based my force on both models I liked/ wanted to use AND models I had. Exactly 1750pts. MAY be a little light on tanks and ranged AT, (although THREE 88's should scare most tanks away or at least make them think long and hard about moving into view) but I like a challenge! HQ 2 teams 65pts Combat platoons 3 squads and a p/faust 290pts 3 squads 280pts Panzerspah patrol 1 patrol 115pts Heavy AA platoon 3 x 88's with extra crew 275pts Tank Hunter Platoon 4 x Jagdpanzer 4's 380pts Cannon platoon 2 x Sd Kfz 251/9 (7.5cm) 90pts Self-Propelled Infantry Gun Platoon 2 x Grille H 175pts AA gun Platoon 2 x Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) 80pts |

Why the 251/9 platoon and the Grilles? Would have thought that some mortars or nebs for smoke and template stuff would be better ...

Again, have the models and wanted to use stuff that you dont often see. Besides, recon are great now.
