Btech Newcastle Event page

Where: Good Games Newcastle

When: Sunday 14th August 2016
10am Registration 10:30am start

Cost: $10 – All entry fees go towards Prize support

Prizes: Store Credit

What to bring:
Records sheets for any units being used.
One BattleTech mapsheet, if you don’t have one some will be available to borrow on the day.
Dice, Rulebook, Mechs/Units, Pencils/markers.

Armies:
Less than 4000 Battle Value worth of units,
Only Stock units, Official variants and Alternate Configurations from a BattleTech Technical Readout are allowed.
No Aerospace units. Ground maps only.
Units are to only use rules and equipment found in Total Warfare.
Modifying Gunnery and Piloting skills is Allowed, Adjust Bv on unit appropriately (Bv Skill multiplier table pg314 TechManual).
Any unit with a Bv of N/A only 1 is allowed (Total, not each).
One unit in your force must be Designated your 'Commander'.

Match Setup:
Players roll off, Winner decides who is player 1 and player 2
Player 1 Orientates the mapsheets, into configuration 1 pg264 Total Warfare, This becomes the Battlefield.
Player 2 Chooses their home edge.

Missions:
Any mission will end in a loss if all your units still on the battlefield are crippled (p258 Total Warfare).
Mission time will be 90 minutes.
Calls will be made at 30 and 15 minutes to go.
If neither player has achieved Victory when time is called the round ends in a draw.

Victory Points for the tournament: 15 win: 10 draw: 5 loss.

As long as your commander is on the field you may add +1 to initiative rolls.

Mission 1
Recon the Enemy
Gain vital intelligence on the enemy before withdrawing.

Victory: Scan each enemy unit and withdraw from the battlefield.
Loss: The enemy escapes with their Intel.
Scanning: During the weapon attack phase declare that you are scanning your target.
Make a Piloting roll with a +1 modifier for each hex to the target.
1 Bonus Victory point for each enemy Light or Medium unit Crippled or destroyed.

Mission 2
Eliminate Priority Targets.
Perform a hit and run attack against the enemies command units.

Victory: Destroy the enemy commander and withdraw from the battlefield.
Loss: The enemy withdraws after destroying your commander.
1 bonus Victory point for each enemy Heavy or Assault unit Crippled OR destroyed.

Mission 3
The Final Blow
You have located the enemy, crippled his command, now to finish them off.

Victory: Destroy all enemy units.
Loss: All your units are destroyed.
