Hi All.

I'm a new (but old school) epic player and i have just returned to the hobby via Adepts Titanic re-release smile.gif

I live in Mile End South which is just outside city on West side. I am looking to host games at my place and get into it again. I have a Space Marines force of Howling Griffons, 2 Warlords 1Reaver (legio Gryphonicus) completed and some Knights and super heavy tanks and another Reaver getting painted up.

I am super keen to ignite the community here in Adelaide and have decent room for large games or whatever.

I would like to learn the rules to Armageddon and AT but to do that i need to play others so please contact me if you live in Adelaide and are keen to play or learn thanks.

Imants

Well it's good that my post had 160 views but no replies, does anyone know anyone in Adelaide ? I have a 5x7 table and a marine army and I now know the rules pretty much. I'm keen to find new players or teach people how to play.

I have heard of a few people playing epic in adelaide but alot of gamers seem to have their own groups and are generally hard to find.

Its difficult not having many non GW stores where you can actually play games.

Southern Games club would be a good contact, also the local GW for people playing the current rules who might also be interested in playing older rulesets.

Sorry to post on something so old, but just in case you're around:

I'd be very interested in playing Epic around Adelaide. I live up north but work near Holden Hill, and can sometimes make it Garrison wargaming club.

I also have Adeptus Titanicus, Aeronautica Imperialis, Warmaster... pretty much any GW game really (other than AoS, but may be willing to give it a go).

I would have suggested you try on tactical wargames.taccommand but their website has been down for repais and a refurbishment since just before xmas. I am still unsure when or even if they will be back onboard.

your alternative, which I can not do as I refuse to have a facebook account is look through facebook for a local wargaming group that does Epic. If you are close enough to an army base - and also able to get on base they sometimes have a noticeboard where you can leave a message asking if anyone plays wargames. In the same way of thinking, contact the local wargames store (not a Warhammer store as they will not let you play the old Epic system in their stores), and leave a message to find other players or clubs where they meet.

I hope this helps. I live in Sydney and I know there is a Riverwood club (Company of Dice), and another club in Penrith area. I used to run the one in Campbelltown at the Hall of Heroes, but attendance petered off and I decided not to host it. I also ran the MOAB Sydney battletech, then Epic Armageddan tournaments, but they both died in the butt. If ouy get to Sydney, I have a local gaming store in Campbelltown, and enought terrain, as well as 15 armies of varying size - some of them are mostly painted even.

Imants is very much still playing epic, he attended Cancon this year, and Castle Assault back in August. Not sure how much luck you'd have sending him a message on this forum, but worth a shot.

If that fails, maybe contact the Epic Cancon TO and ask if he can forward on your details to Imants
