Location: Quaker's Hill High School.
Timing 14/15th April. 5 rounds, 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday. Saturday, Registration at 8:30am, kicking off at 9am, aiming for a 5pm finish. Sunday kick off at 9:15, aiming for a 3pm finish. Army: 1500pts from one Codex, all current codex's released before the 7th of April will be allowed. I will be allowing all Imperial Armour aside from superheavies, gargantuan creatures and flyers; that means everything goes, including army lists. BUT, you must have the appropriate models and you must have the appropriate book. Breakdown: 60% battle, 30% paint, 10% sports. Army lists to be submitted by midnight, Saturday the 7th of April. Painting: Will be judged using a check-list by me. I will release the checklist before the event, the main aim will be to reward points for completed armies, a standard fully painted army should get near to full marks. Ie: Highlighted/shaded and based. No major prizes can be won with an unpainted army, which means all models must be painted to a 3 colour standard, arbitrarily determined by me. ie: 3 dots of paint on a model do not a painted model make. Battle: Battle will be a Win/Loss/Draw system, I haven't determined what the secondary will mean yet. Am I right in thinking that the downloadable IA update pdfs count for having the books to use a FW unit?

Yeah plonk me down, I'll either have a rogue trader era army of marines or if that isn't done in time a multi-coloured horde of foot marines because well, I have lots of multi-coloured foot marines, lol.
-------------------- But seriously, I'm amazed by just how little GP has written. On a scale of 1 to Gorechild's Protege, this is nothing. It's like a Heavy Incinerator with which you've just rolled a 1 to wound. Jeff Albertson to me 12 April 2012: "Yeah not sure what i would do if i was you either. id like to see you snap. Hey you ever want to incapicate someone id give ya a hand, just gotta ask mate" "Don't try to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors, try to be better than yourself." - Faulkner. All of these things just smash you unforgivingly and theres nothing you can do to stop them. Its completely stupid to take this army the way it is, you will degfinately lose every game no matter how good you are. Challenge Accepted! W/L/D = 0/0/1 |

Hey,
I'm keen to come along to play but I'm only able to make it to the saturday. Just wanted to make sure that I won't cause any problems if I'm only there for one day. Cheers! W |

Argh, sorry about the lack of info still, my weekend did not go as I was expecting (in a good way for me though, haha). I will try get the info up asap. Hopefully tomorrow night. I heartily endorse what I suspect this comment to mean... Quick Questions: Website says no Flyers/Superheavies, one presumes Garguantuan creatures as well, correct ? Anything from IA banned ? (Assuming they've got the '40k' moniker) ? Any FAQs we'll be using to settle disputes ? If we own the (BIG HEAVY) books, can we leave them in the car rather than hauling them everywhere ? Can we bring our iPads/otherPads instead of codices, BRB, FAQs, updates, and such ? Specific Question: Anrakyr (Necrons): Can he use the Mind in the Machine power from within a Command Barge ? Trust not the internet, for it says both Yes and No - new GW FAQ's make this contentious enough to warrant asking beforehand. I figure you're online enough to at least be aware of this potential problem. |

Standard GW FAQs will be used. I would like copies of the rules for IA units on hand, (this also applies for non ia rules) as I would like players to be able to see the rules for the units they are facing if the need arises. If you do not provide rules the IA units you bring I will not allow them to be used. I'll look into the Necron rules tomorrow. |
