Will it happen within our lifetime ( around 25 years)?

By using Elon Musk's Neuralink (Neural Lace 2039???) ,NerveGear, exo-skeletons, positional monitoring maybe?

And if we were to achieve this would anyone still want to live in the real world apart from people who are maintaining the system and certain religious groups?(or at least take breaks from full dive VR)

And is VR a replacement for reality? As in will it stop people from physically travelling and going outside?

Partly this, but VR also lets you be things that reality doesn't, like a super hero / villain.

We have a VR set and alot of games. If I look at the Level of games from say 1990 to the PC games now and the level of VR into the future.... I would say it will be less time than that. So your timeframe of say 25 years is probably a long estimate with the speed technology is moving. IE the improvement curve is so steep now it doesn't look "linear" like the old days.

Chip jack in th4 head will be longer. Not because of technology (cybernetics+ onboard storage/chipset is already here) but it will be a political decision. We all know what happens when politicians get involved.

Meow Meow has a Passive card ( NFC implants) onboard already.. Some other scandinavian? tried it before meow meow....

Actual reality is awesome...so vibrant and colourful, surround sound, hi-res, tru-3D and supports all five senses (if five-sense capable)...and it even supports real-life consequences to any in-game action you take (although these aspects are slowly being removed by the progressive left)!!!

Even if you don't count the pseudo heroes of sport, there are still countless heroes and villains in actual reality...

None that have powers like in movies / comics, which is what people want to experience. The whole point would be to be able to do something that reality wouldn't normally allow.

My favourite super hero to imitate would be The Spleen.

It would also be amazing for people who cannot enjoy regular reality, due to injuries or impairments.

It could also create (an even bigger) epidemic of fat people and burden the health system even further.

Did anyone ever watch that movie called Brainstorm, where they worked out how to record people's feelings and emotions so others could experience them in a kinda virtual reality - and a dude recorded himself banging a chic and then another dude cut and spliced the orgasm part of the recording into a continuous loop and they found him almost dead and in a vegetable state in his chair from orgasm overdose...ahahahahahahaha

It also couldn't. There's no body of evidence to back this up.

You could say that, and you just did. You could also go back in time to a point where PC and console gaming was just about to drop into our lives big time and say the same thing...but as we know, there is a HUGE amount of evidence showing that it is a major contributing factor to kids getting fat these days - VR will add to that.

Also, using VR increases the likelihood that you will become a gay man, and before you say "There's no body of evidence to back this up."...here's your evidence! (NOTE: no evidence available on its effects on women yet).
