Hey guys,

Just another thank you to all that Attended Eastcon '10.

I want to thank all the players first and foremost. Without you Eastcon '10 would not have happened. So thanks to everyone who attended and all your friends and family that came in to check out how nerdy you were to. We had no major problems and only a single minor issue that was fixed up quickly. Thanks to those who brought terrain as well! I want to thank everyone who helped pack everything up quickly. Noel from the bowls club was impressed how quickly we got the room back to shape. It also meant the presentation could happen ASAP and means that we were out of the venue at 6:20. Giving those from the other side of the city a chance to get home resonably early.

I would also like to thank the Ringwood club members who helped set up the event (Simone Jenkins, Mitch Wragg, Luke Browne, Phillip Tuck). Also Lloyd Rutherford for being a Gumby on the day.

Thanks to my partner Jessica Hough for also helping set up the event, for helping Luke sort out all scoring sheets, taking photos and for designing & making the certificates that people won. Oh... and her stunning marketing with selling raffle tickets... armata_PDT_37.gif

Thanks to Luke Browne for running overlord and getting the final results out nice and quick. Best of all it didn't crash!

Thanks to Ross Armstrong for helping me sort out GW sponsorship, helping me organise prizes for everyone, being a gumby and last but not least, suppling me with most of the raffle prizes.

Thanks to Maria Armstrong and Realm Of Legends for providing the prizes for the raffle. Most of all, for driving the Best Painted Trophy down from GW in Sydney. Without that Cam would be going home with his hands empty.... tongue.gif

Games workshop. No event could be done with the gaming system they provided. Or the rules... or the broken ####... cough (tervigons) cough. So thanks to GW for the prizes they provided us with and the cool looking trophy too!

Stewarts Trophies, Thanks to Darryl for providing us with some cool looking trophies again and some damn wicked objective markers.

La Porchetta in Heathmont for providing us with a gift voucher for people returning their name badges.

CNC Workshop for providng us with some prizes for the terrain champion / Best Terrain.

Ringwood Bowls Club for the awesome lunch they put on both days, the awesome venue and the bar. Best of all they opened up the bar at 8:30am, both days. Which was ######ING AWESOME! And I think most of you enjoyed that part to.

Rick Vav, for throwing in a few prizes for the raffle. His home made, resin bases are pretty smick. armata_PDT_37.gif

Brad Morin, for showing up and playing. Despite having surgery earlier this week and only just coming out of hospital. Apparently being drugged up wins your tournaments, best general and TO choice Army. And here was Brad telling me Drugs are Bad.... tongue.gif

Denis Fung, thanks for coming down and playing at our tournament. Taking 4th with his army. Hopefully he managed to get to the airport in time to get his flight back.... unsure.gif

Our Panel Comp Judges for taking the time out to judge all our lists. Many thanks from the Committee and Myself. (Maybe not so much the players)

Our Painting Judge, Tony Pridham. Thanks for coming down today and judging all the painting. I think you did a awesome job. He certainly walked away with some inspiration for some of his new GD entries...

Dan Attril, for helping me organise the table tops from GW to actually put our tables on... without him you would all be playing on the floor.

Best wishes to Ben Llewynn and Hannah on their Wedding Day, I hope everything went smoothly, the weather was certainly great for it! I hope the honeymoon is enjoyable!

Apologies for Rick Mckay and Bernard Poesch who both are very sick at the moment and were unable to attend the event. Both were on the Tournament Committe.

I hope you all enjoyed the event as much as I enjoyed running the event. On behalf of Ringwood Wargames Club, I hope to see you all back for Eastcon 2011.
