Are there any good play by mail style games anymore?

I wouldnt mind playing a game with a few friends but it needs to be time flexible, theme isnt majorly important as long as it is fun with some good rules.

Any idea's/links?

I used to play on www.wawgame.com for quite a few years.

No idea if it is still running but there were a huge number of variants and players when I stopped playing.
