Oh, I beg your pardon, now what you said makes more sense... Yeah - they cause a special type of wound that follows the Perils of the Warp rule - ie causing a wound that can only be saved with a rerolled inul save (or Ghosthelm style wargear). This won't necessarily impact the target's ability to subsequently attempt to use a psychic power unless the wound kills the psyker. I'm not sure you are following what these missiles do Alex. Well, I'm going to use the mindstrike missiles as an example. They hit a unit of Grey Knights. Lets' say I hit 3 Grey Knights with one missile. That inflicts 3 perils of the warp wounds (so only invun saves can be taken against these) and then you get 3 S4 hits on top of that for the normal weapon effect. The question was whether the 3 perils attacks would kill 3 GK or just 1. -------------------- |

If one blast hit 3 models, it is 3 hits and 3 perils. but if the unit has Justicar, all the perils are lumped onto the Justicar because the rules states that the Justicar takes the peril. If there are no Justicar, perils are randomised. -------------------- EVENT HORIZON 40k

Interesting; so each individual perils is randomised, rather than the group randomised to a single individual.
With this and power of the machine spirit, how would it work; ie, are the shots (missiles and power of the machine spirit) resolved at the same time, or could I conceivably use power of the machine spirit to cap the justicar, and then fire the 3 remaining missiles into a squad? I'm not using grey knights at EH but would be good to know protocol. -------------------- ------- 6th ed tournament track 2012-13

All shots from a unit happens at the same time. -------------------- EVENT HORIZON 40k

One question on that do the perils and the wounds happen at the same time? Can you also load a regular wound on the sgt as well as the 4 perils in the example given? Reading the wording on the codex I can see why you are ruling this way, just unsure about the perils as it's not offically a wound from the shooting in the normal sense of things.

Wound allocation happens at the same time, but Perils are not wounds so the following could happen, - unit of 5 GK including Justicar suffers 5 wounds and 4 perils - allocate one wound on each model - allocate all perils to the Justicar (since it is perils not wounds) - start rolling saves It seem complicated and wierd but until FAQ comes out, that is how I see it working. Since all attack/wounds are resolved at the same time and Perils not being wounds. -------------------- EVENT HORIZON 40k
