Thus with a game under my belt and an order in for terrain it's - of course! - time to begin sowing for a new army. Orcs...who can be effed painting that many stands!!!!
Necrons - nice, probable later addition
Chaos...um, been done by others and probably better than I would
Eldar - nice gimmicky rules, suits my play style...but no, Marines shall suffice for my goodie goodie guys (replace goodie goodie with fascist religious nut overlords for the more left-leaning among us)

Dark Eldar...oh wait...these I like! Relatively easy paint job (very dark grey verging on black airbrush base and deep blue with bright blue highlights), aren't done too commonly, have a sworn enemy in the Eldar and they ravage the galaxy building the universe's largest harem and slave-pit. What's not to like?

Thus any advice on what to start rounding up is much appreciated. Started with getting my hands on the Raiders supplement - PMing Groov3r if there are any copies left for purchase? - and now scouring for miniatures.
Is there a dedicated line? GW don't make 'em so are normal Eldar normally used?
Wish I could figure out where these and these are from, too.

Any help appreciated as always, of course
Yours in blood and guts and all things gamey
S.

the dude you want to talk to regarding the evil elves, is a fellow on taccoms named Moscovian (who is also, i believe, the dude to talk to about raiders 2.0, but you can download that at tac-coms anyways)
who has some threads you should take a look at

Contacted
Meanwhile some of these will form the basis of my vehicles (scroll down to the bottom)
Got a couple dark eldar 40k sprues here somewhere which would be great for spikes, bits and bobs, underwing guns etc...
Long term project to be sure...but sowing slowly slowly...
Thanks for the headsup, too

Nice one. Necrons are my next project, thanks to some judicious Exodus Wars Edenite purchases...and the occasional block of Otterware metal. smile.gif

punkskum

Before you spend your hard earned cash on stuff, maybe you should play some of these armies tongue.gif

If I have learned anything from umpteen games, it is to play the army first with proxies to determine what you really need/want. It is amazing how your view can change after 3-4 games with a force.

I have personally played Marines 20+ times and Chaos Armies well more than that. The common denominator is that I always seem to find different things and change my views. Otherwise, you will have everything and yet nothing*

Very astute my zoologically challenged friend
Yet the Eldar host I couldn't not buy as having a single army means having to source OTHER players to introduce new ones to Epic
At least two armies is the baseline for me for a system
After this one...I'll stop.
Yup. No more. I'll play with what I have.
Til next week, anyway

I have at least four armies myself, so I won't throw stones. wink.gif

Yeah there's nothing wrong with having multiple armies. You can always sell off what you don't ever use.
