Yep I've been bitten by the Tau bug and am in the process of collecting a nice 3000 point Forgeworld army.

So far my purchases have arrived and I've trimmed the flash and assembled. Unfortunately several components for some of the Hammerheads with Ion-Cannons were mis-formed sad.gif So I have to wait for FW to replace them)

Here's the first trimmed/assembled models

there's another Crisis suit Cadre missing from this pic and also the other 3 Ion cannon Hammerheads

Not fair!!!

Now I will have to get one. Possibly just a little cadre. But a cadre none the less. They look soooo damn cool!

Wow... those tiny little sculpts look awesome - way better than I imagined. Can't wait to see 'em painted.

Tau don't have titans IIRC.

How are you planning to paint them, or is it all hush hush at the moment?

They dont have titans, but they do have superheavy flyers and mantas.

The manta fulfills the usual role of the thunderhawk/warhound, thile the tigersharks cover the duties of baneblades/marauders.

Must get some now, my three epic devilfish are feeling lonely.

BWS - havent decided how to paint them yet sad.gif Am toying with a few colour schemes at present. Saw a great colour scheme on them somewhere on the web though and might do that. Black/Dark Grey with either Red or Orange with bone details. But I'm not 100% as I still like the yellow/brown from the Tau Codex too biggrin.gif

Very sweet force.

However I am a stickler for 'doing it my way' so I would try for my own scheme everytime.

here's the first mini - WIP. I've put it up to give an idea of the colour scheme I'm planning to use. Any feed back would be nice.

I prefer that scheme over the red and white, the other one looks like Saim Hann Eldar.

Is that dunny paper behind them? tongue.gif

Looks nice - very clean and graphic, as the tau should be. How are you planning on doing the bases?

That scheme looks really nice, green and bone always work well. Gives a bit of a mililtary camo feel as well, which is quite fitting for the Tau IMO.

Those FW sculpts are really, really nice.

Nice work.

BWS - kitchen towel for wiping off my paint on. biggrin.gif

Lachy - base will be simple grey dry brushing(with 2-3 colours wink.gif ) then some green static grass. The vehicles(skimmers) will have small ruins on their bases.

Kruger - thx mate:P

Tony - Seriously? green and bone colours for yours?
