Greetings fellow BADGamers. I have decided to make an army of undead in 40K. My army shall consist of mostly Imperial Guard, converted and painted to resemble zombies, vampires, necromancers and other such creatures.
Fluffwise, my army were once Imperial Guard. But on a fateful trip to the far off death world of Nehekhara (Very directly based on the Tomb King homeland of WHFB), the whole platoon were morphed into undead, mindless zombies seeking nothing but the flesh of all creatures. They are aligned with Chaos, and it is widely believed the Chaos gods were responsible for this change. However, no person in the universe is quite certain exactly what happened on that planet. So far, I have ordered a group of 5 Cadians, two servitors and a tech priest. Using a metric shnizzload of Tomb King and Chaos bitz, I will convert these poor creatures. The Cadians will be your traditional shambling zombies, the tech priest a necromancer, and the Servitors will serve an unknown purpose. Something cool. I plan on ordering the Catachan battleforce, but that will have to wait for another week until my funds improve. As for the gameplay side of things, at this stage I plan to use either the Chaos Mutant rules, or the Plague Marines. Tinnie also told me of a good set of rules within the Imperial Guard codex. But my Space Wolves are more for gameplay, these guys more for a fun project who will be kickarse on the table. |

The guard codex can work to, you just commasar up 50 man blobs, that works just as well for waves of undead.

Ah, my bad. Haha. My memory got confused, because I was looking for Imperial Guard codices online at the time in case I ever wanted to play standard imps. What I think I'll do is get some PDFs and check out the rules, see what I prefer.
