Hi y'all
If you're looking at Auscon seminars and wondering just what's involved I'd like to tell you a bit more about what I'll be offering in the sculpting seminar. The seminar will focus on sculpting faces, normally pretty tough to pull off and can be pretty frustrating when it's not quite looking the way you want it. I'll go through the steps I use to sculpt a head using polymer clays which will also cover a lot of the basics on how to work with the material and how to get a crisp smooth appearance on your sculpture. We'll be converting up some Uber soldiers and putting new heads on them so feel free to get wild and crazy with it. Here's one that I turned into Uber Tony! ![]() Polymer clay doesn't dry unless it's baked so if you want to do more converting to the miniature you've got all the time in the world to work on it so you can bring it home and continue to use what you'll learn at the seminar and then bake it when you're ready. Just bring a little container to transport it home in. If you've got some sculpting tools already then bring them along since you're probably already comfortable with them though there will be some tools available at the seminar. I also suggest one of the tools that you'll find really handy is a small paint brush. That's it! Jody This post has been edited by sprue: Apr 29 2011, 12:27 AM |
