interesting list i would personally take dryads over the wardancers and perhaps include a small squad of scouts for the beastweaver to chill in

If that list does not get full comp I dunno what will...
Warhawks, eternal guard, none of the really good stuff. Personally, I would drop the wild fire blade noble, as he does not much at all, and one of the warhawk rider units. Your list is begging for a treeman, they are the bomb. And just for that scenario, I'd put a banner on one of the archer units to give you 6 breaking points. I would look at maybe taking only one eternal guard unit, even if slightly larger, and possibly fitting in the 5+ ward to unit item. Either that, or get some lvl1/2 mages in there so you can whack on regen or immunity to most shooting. They have an ideal baseline, with multiple attacks, spear type rules and stubborn with a character, but they are expensive, squishy and need buffs to have a chance. Being defensive infantry, and slightly better receiving a charge rather then making one, a unit of cav could help, wild riders ftw! -------------------- Warhammer fantasy 8th is awesome!

thanks for the ideas guys, yea i know dryads are cheaper and allmost the same thing but i realy like the wardancer models :/ i guess i chould just put wardancers on 25mm bases ???? id have to come up with some good fluff.
i will have to add an extra standard for the break point mission for sure. btw just incase you missed it dawnspear + The Curse Of Anraheir = auto win and the reason for the Noble with Rageth's Wildfire was so that both units had flaming attacks but I will have to take another look at my list for sure. Thanks a tone for the input so far guys ill let you know what i come up with after another game This post has been edited by Reborn: May 23 2011, 01:38 PM |

Noble BSB Sword of Strife Enchanted Shield I really wish I didn't have to post this, as it makes me sad to see such a thing but.... Q: A Wood Elf Battle Standard Bearer cannot use shields, does this mean magical shields as well as a standard shield? (p53) A: Yes. This is from the most recent Wood Elf FAQ. As for your list, I'm glad to see someone doing well with woodies. I would personally give that a very high comp score. Eternal Guard blocks? No Treekin or Treemen? Crazy! -------------------- Delicious Autumn Delight! How will you fare?

Hi,
Here's my 2 cents I'd combine those dancers into one unit with full command. I don't thinkg glade guard need muso's at that size For your BSB i'd give him armour of silvered steel and a luckstone. 50pts and he basically gets +1 wound and is much harder to kill. On that note to make the eternal guard stubborn you only need two noble/highborn characters so you can drop one of those three. I also think you can equip the highborn better. I like the potion of strength on my characters. I also think the hail of doom arrow would go well. Also only one unit of eternal guard can have a magic banner. I'd go for the razor standard on one of them over the other options you have there. I concur with the other comments as well. |
