Are there rules for things like sentry guns (eg Aliens) or heavy gun emplacements (eg static mounted missile launcher)?

If so, where can I find them and what is the opinion of them? Too cheesy? OK for no-formal play?

Why are there no female IG? Hasn't Bob seen GI Jane?

Rules for sentry guns in codex cityfight but I think it's meant specifically for those games.

there are rules for all thoes things in the IA books, I don't think they are cheesy in fact they pretty much suck. Sentry guns I beleive are only for scenario specific games but you can get things like manticore missile platons, earthshaker platforms, hydra platforms...

There are female IG, they are talked about in the fluff and there have been a couple of medels. A catachan with a grenade launcher and one of the Tanith as well.

Forge world have a range of sentry guns and the rules for them are in Imperial Amour.

I have two of the heavy bolter sentries and i think they rock! also available are las cannons, multi meltas, whorlwind style and some kind of anti-air sentry.

IMO at 15 pts for twin linked heavy bolters at BS2 its neither "cheesy" nor are they a waste of points
