Hi everyone.

Jan has asked me to be the TO of BiV this year. I came and played last year and had a ball and I want to make sure that this year is just as good.

This is the post I put up in the Fantasy section of the site, but I want you guys to let me know what you think as well, since it is your tournament.

QUOTE

The Cessnock Slayers are hosting Fantasy Battle In The Vines on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of November. The location will be Greta (near Cessnock) and I will be the TO. We have the option of a 1 day or 2 day event.

I need your opinion on what sort of tournament you would like.

At this stage I am favouring a 2 day tournament with the option to play only 1 day if that is all you can make. The setup would be as follows.

Day 1 - 3 games of 1600 points
-prizes for 1st and runner up
Day 2 - Top 4 returning from day one play in a round-robin Super Series or Pool A for 3 games of 1600 points
- remaining players form Pool B for 3 games of 1600 points
- prizes for 1st and runner up from both Pools.

That way those with other family/sporting commitments and those that want to shoot up from Sydney for just a day trip can come along, as well as locals and those dedicated souls that don't mind shacking up in some local accomodation.

The other options are:
- simply 3 (or 4) x 1600 points over 1 day
- standard 2 day x 5 round x 2400 points.

If you are a chance of coming, please let me know what you think about this form of tournament. I am happy to listen to all opinions as the tournament will be for you. Today is the 22nd of June. I will look at what people want and make a final decision on July the 1st.

More soon......

Rob.

Also a second question - Would you prefer a No Lord level character tournament or leave that option open?

Hi Slayers

Rob was TO for Fantasy BiV last year. He stepped in at the last minute when Kendall had to drop out and he did a good job.

On June 1st Rob offered to run FBiV 2011, in response to a couple of posts I put on the BiV forum and the Warhammer forum.
He said "I might be able to TO for you if you can't find someone more local".

We did not appear to have anyone with the time or expertise so.....

Good onya, Rob!

Let's get behind him and help out with word-of-mouth advertising, transporting boards and terrain, setting up and packing away, and anything else he asks us to do

Check the Thunderstomp thread. It is the most up-to-date.
