I decided to spend my winnings on a Caster but not a Khador one but one I really like the sculpt for.

Not sure if I want to do an entire force yet but here is-

Lord Exhumator Scaverous from the Cryx range (not finished yet)

I found basing him/it on a normal base just didnt look right so I decided to make a more dynamic looking base and after finding some tips in Arithon's Cygnar thread about NEADIT and wood chippings here are the WIP photos.

Photos taken on my Camera phone so the photo quality may not be too flash..

Cheers,

Stuart

He looks stunning Stuart. The green glowing effect is outstanding and so is the skull- it really stands out. The basing work is top notch and sit in well with the miniature. You have to do more. biggrin.gif

I look forward to seeing it finished.

Skaverous as a favourite, funny different tastes, regardless nice progress

Fingolfin is one of the users on here my ears prick up and I think, what is that handsome devil up to these days?

Think your airbrushed guard comes to mind.

Keep up the great work all over the place

Thanks for the kind praise..

What have a been up to? Well 2011 was a crazy year for real life and I did not get as much painting done as I would of liked.
Im snowed under with comissions (you mentioned my Guard) so finding time to do my own stuff is hard.

I did take these holidays to do some of it... I have a slow grow league starting this month at the local club so I wanted to get my Khador caster finished... I did start with eIrusk but have now swapped to eSorscha. Here are some WIP photos of her.. plan to have her finished by Wednesday...

Gone nuts on NMM... the silver areas have just been based coated with Adeptus Battlegrey..

Cheers,

Stuart

Another update...

Most of the painting is finished, just got the base to finish with snow and some silfor tufts to blend the dirt into the ice mound.

Thanks guys. Been having a break from the hobby to recharge. Been working on a dark eldar commission inbetween family and the job. I have a new project I'm slowly getting ready to start..

Also relised scorchas base is all wrong. It should be a grey/snow look to it....

Well in between the very kranky family and kids Ive managed to finish The Butcher of Khador. Had my first game with him on the weekend with the list being (not optimized at all)

pButcher
Wardog
Big B
Spriggan

Full Winter Guard and UA
Joe
Full Iron Fang with UA
Drakun
Eliminators

VS Menoth and the Harbringer... I lost but cause the 'Book' stop me from firing Obliteration onto a very weaken Harby. In the end she had to zoom in and use her auto hitting pow 20 spell in combat to finish the Butcher off.. almost kill herself though..

Im considering bringing in a Kodiak, Rifle corps, Kazay Ass Unit with Underboss and may swap the Iron Fangs for a Black Dragon unit..

Anyway pictures..

Well I was going to post some pictures of my other models I had finished over the last 6 months but the camera ran out of power..

I had an extreme scuplt Black Ivan and full Winterguard Death Star all line up for photos and ....frrrtt

I took the Butcher to the Deathclock Tourny at IF Brisbane a few weeks back. He saw one game against Michael Weirs EHaley list of Lightning Doom..

Stormwall
2 Storm Striders
Gun Mages
Arty Stormsmiths
Mechanics

With a load of luck and somehow managing to survive 4 swings with boosted rolls from the Stormwall, Butcher managed to pull a win by sending Beast 09 into a frenzy.

On feat Beast took down the Strider in two swings thanks to its reach and Str 19 4/3 dice rolls, followed by Thorn on Turn 3 and then using its Imprint to smack Haley in the face on Turn 4.

Big B and the Great Bears took down the Stormwall after a poor placement of the Stormwall leaving it in melee range with the Armour Piercing fists of Big B and within the reach of Weapon Master Great Bears during Ehaley Feat turn.

The Winterguard and Widowmakers all got fried by lightning....

Fun stuff this Warmachine game!
