After much deliberation I decided to pick up some Infinity miniatures to play a couple games.
If I didn't appreciate the game then I at least had some cool miniatures to paint.

So far I've enjoyed all games so far. Been trounced badly mostly as there is a huge learning curve, apparently more so with Combined.

The miniatures are really detailed and have some really nice poses. Looking forward to painting up some Charontid goodness...

nice Morat Dan, look forward to seeing a whole army painted up, so they look good in my Haqq's gunsights.

Our game was rather close, it did end up coming down to Achilles vs Charontid.

Looking pretty cool though.

Great painting , may i ask a question re these figures , as the painter you'd know ?

The red face , is that flesh or a mask ? and the green upper torso , is that flesh, armour or clothing ?

Odd questions i know but ive been wanting to get some of these but everytime i see the red face i keep thinking "babboon" .

The paintwork is outstanding , nice highlight on the armour and rifle .

cheers Tom

Haha, yeah that game was hilarious. Charontid hiding out in some building hosing down anything that came close.

Thanks

The red face is meant to be their skin according to the artwork in the rulebook, but it does look much like a mask.
The upper torso is muscular contoured armour from what I can tell.

This guy I'm still working on...

"The Hungries" are the most breakable miniatures I've dealt with or at least on par with the metal Night Goblin Fanatics.

Looking sick, Daniel. I love the highlighting and shading you've got going on there. You'll have a sick looking force in no time.

Wow.

The hungries are really good.

I'd consider inserting that pic in your original post, it will make people want to see more.

Speaking of, looking forward to more pics smile.gif

Managed to get these guys ready for 'Taking of Paradiso' last weekend in Melbourne.

Had 4 great games against 4 great guys. Good to see there is a good number of infinity players in Melbourne.

Was trying a new combination for my first two games (namely the speculo with the 2 malignos) which didn't work out too well for me and got smashed. I think I should have playtested the list a bit before Paradiso.

Last 2 games, decided I would change to the list which has been my favourite since I started fielding The Charontid. Essentially a wave of pretas and morat infantry which worked out to a solid win and a very close loss to myself.
This last game came down to the last dice roll which was unfortunate for myself but was a great game. Probably my favourite of the day due to it being so close.

Learned a fair bit and have some new combinations to try out with my Combined.

Quite happy with my overall placing of 10th of the 24 that played and looking forward to tournaments in the future.

Liking your colour selections the more I see.

Charontid looks fantastic.

You've set yourself a big challenge using green as the unifying colour and its coming together nicely, I'd never be brave enough to try smile.gif
