[40k] Ork Freebooter Pirates, Kaptain Badrukk Returns Options Rating

Well here it goes woohooo a modelling diary, this time with orks as the target.

I've always loved the 2nd ed orc fluff and the the whole orky mindset the bright colours the random tech that'll only work for them and only them , and of all the groups freebooters have always been the first the fact they'll work for anyone who pays em, fight anything for anyone that pays them and if they don't get paid well they just get even more fighting in hehe.

So after much deliberation I've decided WTH I'm a doing me a freebooterz army, and who better to lead em than Kaptain badrukk himself even though flash gits are kinda expensive pts wise hehe. The list keeps changing as I game with the boyz and work out what works best for me but one thing I did decide on was that being pirates and operating mostly in space, well conventional land based trukks/ buggies/ bikes etc just wouldn't be viable unless I came up with a way to make them viable

Well thankfully the young one ( the rampant 4yr that tears around home ) helped me come up with a way to make vechiles work for Space Ork Freebooter Pirates! How you ask?? easy make them hover but how would that work for bikes?? give em jetbikes?? nah to normal what else can we give them??

Now this is the first one and its not finished yet but you get the general idea this baby is for my warboss on bike and if you look in the background you can see the others scattered around the board and in the right hand corner the start of my hover trukks

Hehe haven't decided on a logo yet that will come when I get further along right about now it just trying to get em done around my busy schedule

So new update got the rest of the boards done just gotta hit em with some green stuff to orc(y) them up some more and make it look like the baords are made from weilded bent pieces of metal then add some more detail to the bases then its onto the nobs and warboss hehe

Heyas all I know its been a long time for an update my excuse is xmas, being self employed and organising a wedding well 3 weeks out of the wedding now and finally have had some time to work on my boyz some more ( That and Terracon isn't that far away so I had better pull my finger out lol)

Sooo took those last night got home from work and thought well better undercoat em so heres a couple I took just before undercoating



And a group shot of 24 Slugga boyz ( 2x12 boyz with 1 big shoota each) And yes most of them DO have bandana's



And upon asking my said 4yo who helped with the idea what colour to paint them she replied PURPLE!!! So I guess the main colour of this group of ork freebooters will be purple LOL

Oddly enough, I reckon purple could work quite well as a contrast to the green ork skin.

Well First test boy is done did one of my foot slogging ork nobs Ime thinks the purple needs to be brighter I picked yellow and blue for "uniform" colours as orginally was planning to do naeploen style ork pirates so did it in homage to my orginal idea I think the colours go well
