I'll play Undead again.

I'll bring my rule book's this time aswell.

Can Alistair and I use the same roster as our first game or do we have to start a new warband for the warm ups?

The blowpipe isn't "useless", just "use-limited" tongue.gif .

I can probably bring my Marienburg Mercs this coming Thurs if you guys will be playing again and could use another body?

well since we are not in a campaign you should be able to bring in a new warband. last time u guys rolled for the post battle part just for all of us to get the hang of what is happening after the battle.
these rules are not used in one-off games.

So, time for an update on last nights games!

This time round we had 5 players; Franky, Adin, Billy, James + myself. So there were 2 games played. A 3 player epic between Franky Adin and James (which someone will really need to fill me in with the full details of that match), and myself vs Billy

I played skaven, Billy played Riekland mercs
Scenario: Wyrdstone hunt

key points
slings everywhere that did NOTHING
longbows everywhere that; forced a black skaven to take an arrow to the knee in the first turn (and thus down for the count), knocked everyone down, and were forced to target giant rats
anticlimax boss battle: skaven assassin charged the reikland captain, and armed with weeping blades. First round of combat: skaven caused one poison wound, and two normal wounds. captain taken out of action. LAAAAAAAAAAAME (but i'm ok with this)
that warrior that just couldn't climb a ladder (5 turns, trying to climb the same ladder what would have resulted in a wyrdstone shard!!!)

result: despite the game is meant to be played till one warband routs we finished early (due to closing time) meaning that both of us were shy of having to call a rout test. skaven however held 2 of the 3 shards and thus won the game!

how was the other game?

3 way between James (Reiklanders), Adin (Witch Hunters) and me (Skaven).

James in his very first turn of the game tried to jump down a small ledge with 3 heroes (the captain and his 2 champions), with a result of all 3 of them being taken out of action for the 3 failed initiative test and the following fall.

With me and Adin laughing as hell, he also failed the rout test straight away. The rest of the game saw the Skaven steamrolling the witch hunters, also thanks to a good average rolling for me, and a bad one for Adin.

Man of the match:
A Giant Rat that got charged by a Fanatic with a double handed weapon, and manage to hit, wound and take out of action the Fanatic before he could strike. Go Giant Rats! XD

it's alastair, but close enough!

only issue with the rats is that they can't take much of a beating, so taking them out rapidly causes skaven rout tests!

and wyrdstone traps will just trap everyone! use random meat, skaven are always hungry and some times restort to canablisim!!!

also going to take a small vote for what warband i play next:
Mariburg or Sisters?

.........and go!

if u have the models i would recommend sisters if u have the models (see how nice Iniative 3 is haha).

it would be a bit boring if 3 people played mercies (i play them only because i dont have witch hunters).

PS: will remember the name next time!

If you ever need to borrow the models for the campaign or games I have pretty much every warband miniature wise. I dont have Sisters, Carnival, or any of the Mercs outside the rule book. Starting an Ork warband this month.

If you like Skaven Alastair then keep playing them. You will only learn them better and better.

Do you all know what your going to campaign with?

Cheers

Do any of you know any Dregs who want to play a Campaign before we kick it off?

Game 3 Summary:

We moved around a little bit.

One Zombie died.

Two Reiklander henchmen died.

We got asked to leave by the Manager.

All over a uneventful game. With little combat involved.

i have no idea why i am so proud of this fact, but i still am
but if we have till 830 instead of 900 when the manager is in the store, we might need to start early

only issue with that is franky can't get there till 7. So maybe we have one game starts earlier, and who ever is playing franky waits till later
or plays on another day? (i can't do tuesdays)

what do you think?
