Yes, I'm going all "ooh, shiney!" again.............ADD FT.......?
Have been considering picking this up considering how much I like DysWars. Anyone else got my fever? Or, conversely, you guys still play Gothic? I reckon I could find a fleet to use these as stand ins for....... -------------------- Knights of Purity and Valour - Kill 'em all, let the Emperor sort it out!
Yes, I reply to a lot of threads with images. That's because your posts are crap, and don't deserve anything more than a cursory Google image search. Your e-peen just made me lolgasm. I reckon I could find a fleet to use these as stand ins for....... yeah the idea of using them as stand ins has been discussed quite a lot, which is probably what i'll use a fleet for as i miss my marines. however, if i have a fleet & you have a fleet then theres no reason to not have a run at it the only issue that i'd really have is that FA DysWars & Uncharted seas all use the same/very similar core system - how many versions of the game do we need? mind you, am looking at a dwarf fleet for the hell of it -------------------- “My centre is giving way, my right is in retreat; situation excellent. They may be too big to be BFG stand-ins.

They may be too big to be BFG stand-ins. At 50 bucks I'm willing to check it out. If the class sizes are roughly similar to dyswars then profit -------------------- “My centre is giving way, my right is in retreat; situation excellent. I am attacking.” - Marshal F Foch

My main reasoning behind wanting to get into it is the pure ship combat aspect- impossible to slip in land forces! Plus I think (not having been anywhere near the rulebook) there would be some slight differences.....after all there is no friction in space...............
Also, would a slightly simpler version of Dyswars be all that bad? Much as I love 6 hour fleet engagements, we could spend the same time on bigger battles. Plus no tiny flyers to keep track of........ -------------------- Knights of Purity and Valour - Kill 'em all, let the Emperor sort it out!
