Hello All,

The 28th and 29th of July is the confirmed date for Rebelcon 2012. I would first like to thank GW Mount Gravatt for letting us have exclusive use of their facilities for the weekend once again. Now.................

There is enough room for 26 players, the event will cost $40.

Specific details will be out in a players pack shortly. Every year the places fill up quicker so make sure you don't leave it until the last minute. Please drop me a line if you are interested in the tournament, I am giving WargamerAU members a chance to sign in before others. I will have a player registry up on here shortly.

Want to get some feedback on pts size. 1st year was 5 games of 1750pts, 2nd year 5 games of 2000pts and last year 4 games of 2500pts. Rebelcon exists to be different and this year will be no exception. What I would like though is any (clean ohmy.gif ) recommendations or popular demands from you guys. Not just point size, but lunch inclusion, comp, sports, paint, bribes, etc.

Talk to you all soon - Justin Harley

Does that mean it is a GW only affair? As in converted minis etc won't be welcome, if they aren't GW only parts? Was fairly common back when they supported tourneys.

can bet they *removed* will 'try' and enforce that.

*edited - be polite.

Was not directed at any GW employees, more so the silly generalized rule they are made to enforce, people have to do their jobs and I respect that, I should have used better words and explained my self betterer smile.gif

Im not refering to using completely non GW models, but it saddens me to see people given grief for making there own weapons for example, when GW as a company supplies none. I dont expect them to allow non GW models, I just hope they are reasonable in there allowing of particular conversions etc.

Well, it is their store. They'd probably also be cranky if you brought in your Warmachine or Dystopian Wars models for a game...

I am getting a copy of the terms and conditions for entry into the Hall of The Great Wolf which they have and present to people to read before they sign up as a member to use the it for gaming. I am going to be emailed the document shortly.

The below rules are what I do know and to me make sense as it is a GW business facility they are letting us use for free (hence the good prizes and trophies for only 26 players).

You are not to use any models that are not GW models and that includes model parts that are not GW. Never been any problems though with resin bases. And if anyone asks about having to use GW paints to paint them........I will kill you and your little dog too.

You obviously have to have your own codex, tapemeasure, templates, dice, rulebook, etc.

Ok change for this year..............you WILL be allowed to use any warhammer 40,000 stamped unit in the new Apocalypse book and Imperial Armour book. If you do so you must have a copy of the book with you at the tournament....NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

You can also use the stuff from the Badab Wars abpocalypse book, there may be a few exceptions once I go back through it in a few days just to make sure I see no broken stuff or what I think is broken anyways.

Ok ONLY imperial armour stuff with the "Warhammer 40,000" green stamp on the unit page may be used. The units from the Badab Wars may be used BUT.........I will not be allowing any Apocalypse stuff in their like titans (thanks for making me spell this out Rob armata_PDT_02.gif ) or over powered stuff.

Basically, from the Badab wars book, you can take all the marine special characters, vehicles and units but not stupid stuff. I will put up a "Badab Wars Rebelcon Approved" list shortly....sounds way over the top but anyways.

I am still deciding pts limit, I do want requests, ideas, feedback or whatever.......haven't got anything yet though....in fact its so quite I think I here crickets having sex in my backyard?

This is suppose to be a different tournament for players.......so tell me what you want player!!!

If it doesn't clash with warfest i'm in. Think it needs to be along the lines of 2500pts. Makes things different. I'm getting abit sick of 1750. If food could be orgainsed for both days all the better. Wouldn't mind paying more for that either.(in entry fee) Other than that not much else to add

As long as it doesn't clash with the new baby's decision to arrive late I'll be there.

My preference is less than 2500 pts. I can't do that many points for any army I have.

Thinking along the lines for 2000 pts would be a nice number.
