happens every edition change. It will take a while for people to come to grips with the new cheese. Unless your Josh, he could probably give you an accurate score before he finishes reading the new rule book armata_PDT_34.gif

i hate that guy

safest way when a new edition comes out is just do no comp, and post lists on have discussions.

its what we have done in all editions, wont take that long, people can smell cheese, so preety easy to figure out

Anticipating a massive amount of cheese. I read that if you use allies you cannot use special characters in either FOC. Anyone heard anyything on that?

I know that here in the back waters of CQ we are already keen on NOT allowing allies in our tournaments.. Like in 4th ed.. I'm pretty sure Qm3 is doing the same.

Expect Orktoberfest to be also removing allies as an option.

And the current rumours thread says you can take special characters in allied forces - take with the requisite amount of NaCl.

Stupid balance police, take all the fun out of allies.

I WANTED MEPHISTON.

He would have been welcomed into the grey knight fold with open arms.

Well Rebelcon won't have comp or allies restrictions. This is because I want to see the fluff players head butting those with Tau and Grey Knights or any of the other combos. 5-1 says no nix players roll up. I mean...you get to shoot me, snap shoot me and then assault me first cause your in cover AND I don't have allies!! I understand the fluff for no alles but I do like to win games with my nids.

Should have the players pack up and running on Sunday, will email it out to everyone.

OK guys the new players pack updated has been sent out to everyone, please let me know if you do not get it.

Also, payment is due by next Sunday night the 22nd so please keep the payments coming. Lists also due then so send them through when you are happy with your selections.

There are 9 places left still so preaching the Rebelcon word will be much appreciated.

Following Rules Rulings:
Runes of Warding do no stack and at the same time shadows of the warp does not stack for nids. I think its too much of a reach to make a major rules adjustment on an "assumption" of what GW "intended" with the changing of the wording for both rules. More than happy to discuss this with anyone or be convinced otherwise but it needs to be a justified argument not a comment like "but it helps me against Grey Knights."

I am sure there will be many rulings that need to be made with the new edition, please ask here if you are aware of any or be prepared to abide (with a massive smile) by my rulings on the issues as they come up on the day.

Also....you cannot use fortune on Dark Eldar units as it specifies that it can only be used on Eldar units, it we start specifying what is an Eldar then vehicles and everything can't use it etc etc. So its out.

Think thats it for now.

Just to clarify, this is a 1750pt tournament not a 2012pt. Right?
