Welcome everyone, and in 2012 NSW will hold our first 40k Masters.

It is will be a 2 day event with 5 games testing the players to determine who is the biggest 40k geek in NSW.

Date: Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October
Location: Good Games Burwood

This will be a 16 players event with the following selection criteria,

1. Last year’s NSW 40k Master (non this year)

2. Top* NSW Players in the following events,
• MOAB (Oct 2011)
• DogCon (Feb 2012)
• Clash of the Titans 3++ (Feb 2012)
• Leviathan (April 2012)
• Battle in the Vine (May 2012)
• Event Horizon (June 2012)
• High Lord of Terra (July 2012)
• Emperor’s Legion (September 2012)

The reason for using NSW events only is to promote NSW events.

* NSW player selected must placed in the top 3 for the above events. In case where no NSW player is in the top 3, no NSW player will be selected from that event. If the event winner already qualified in previous event, it will default to the next highest NSW player in the top 3.

A NSW player is a person that reside in NSW in 9 of the 12 months by the end of September.

3. Top seven (7) NSW Players as defined in Ranking HQ – this could be the same people selected under Criteria 2.

4. If positions are available, up to one (1) wild card entry determined by the TO. This is to reward the TO and the club that support the 40k Masters.

5. If positions are available, next highest ranked NSW Players not yet selected up to 16 total players. Ranking as defined in Ranking HQ at time of selection.

Purely out of self interest, if a player who has already qualified for the Masters is the highest ranked NSW player at an event, does the invitation for that event go to the next highest?

Using BiV as the example, David placed 1st, but has already qualified for Masters following 1st at Clash. As the next highest NSWelshman (and still within the top 3 places), do I get the BiV invitation?

Are you making provision for spectators at this event? I dont mean open the doors and have a crush of sticky beaks. I mean limited numbers, by invitation and expressions of interest
