I am pretty damn keen for this weekend.

Hows everyone else going?

FAQs ruin anyone's devious plans?

I am glad they confirmed a few things for me that I wasnt sure on.

I now have basically no cards at all apart from what I've got from a few drafts recently. Looks like constructed is cheaper than it used to be (2 years ago a top tier standard deck ran about $800..) maybe I could play it again.

Ive got at least 3 decks I would call top tier (well, they are pirated mainly from top 8 GT decks) and will bring them, plus some more fun ones.

Im excited to hang out with some of the guys I dont get to see much. If getting raped for 5 games is the price I have to pay, then so be it!

Yes, Just hung out with Diffey at airport and he mentioned something that screws my birds over royally!

My money is now on Diffey, that list, that bag of tricks, hes got it in the bag! He plays totally differently to me as well. Just make sure you only put one "f" on the plaque! tongue.gif

Matt's Official ATC Goals

Despite being on the back foot now Ye Olde Compe Scores are out, here are my 3 goals. One is selfish, one unselfish and one just plain old fashioned mean biggrin.gif

Selfish - hitting Top 8. It helps make a case for an invitation to the ETC and other exciting VIP lounge areas. Dare to dream!

Unselfish - Breaking the Top 5. It sounds similar to the above, but the goal would be to show there may be sufficient player skill in the far-flung provinces to get 2 people from WA in to a future slightly larger Masters. I've had 1st spot for the state for 40K and won the last 3 masters, so this one isn't for me. No one else has had a chance of qualifying to come along so far.

Plain Old Fashioned Mean - To do my bit to ensure the shiny new Grey Knights SoopaSpessMareenz don't waltz to easy podium spots. Oh, it's on! Who's With Me!!??

Im looking forward to hanging out and selling my dice rolling services to the highest bidder; at the moment Asmodean is in the front for the cheap price of his soul smile.gif

Well that and hanging out with mates I havent seen for ages and to check out different playstyles and get some ideas for some 40K lists.

Goals?

1. Win with footdar and make the blogosphere go mental (again).

2. Get enough photos and write details to knock up a "how to footdar" article. I've had several requests from authors and individuals I figured this would be an appropriate testbed. Unless I lose every game, in which case no report will see the light of day.

3. Get Eldrad to beat his PB of 3 Paladins, Draigo and a GK Librarian killed in cc in one game. (you've been warned Josh).

4. Get the Avatar to survive his first game against GK in 5 tournaments. Stupid Daemon rule having all the downsides and not even giving Eternal Warrior.

5. Kill every Vendetta I see. This may be difficult as I envisage my dragon's serpent going down turn 1 as the lone vehicle. Maybe I can chase them down and cc them with wraithlords...
