Ridiculous amounts of questions about Infinity Options

I've known of the game in passing for a few years now, and have received word of some small pockets of people playing it around the LGS locations I visit.

I printed out tenabrae's unofficial rulebook PDF today, and tried having a read. Is the game as ridiculously hard as the incredibly verbose rulebook makes it out to be?

What differentiates the various factions, and the various troop choices within a faction? I'm finding it somewhat difficult to tell the differences, given that a lot of design and stylistic cues with the miniatures cross over between factions, making colour almost the only real difference from a distance.

I've also heard that Infinity needs ridiculous amounts of terrain. Will the game break if there's not enough?

If you run that list as a bakunin sectorial, your moderator only costs 0.5 swc, not 2, to make it your lieutenant. Conversely, you could also make the moira the lieutenant. You just need to choose this as a sectorial on devil team, rather than vanilla nomads. Unless that was what you wanted.

Question: Can someone please point out where it gives a different SWC cost for things in a Sectorial force?



I have printed the 2.2 re-edited version of the rules from the link on this forum and the army lists from the Infiinty website. But although I can clearly see the change to AVA in the Sectorial Lists I have overlooked where it tells you how their SWC cost will change (if at all)?
