I am building a Preheresy MkVI Vanguard Squad and I am having trouble deciding on the type of Jump Pack to use. I am looking at using one of the following:
FW MkV: Maxmini Iron Pattern: ![]() Which would you use? If anyone knows of any other designs that would suit the MkV armour, please lmk. This post has been edited by Ranko82: Mar 9 2012, 12:20 PM -------------------- |

I'm not a fan of the studs on the maxmini ones. Maybe those if you shaved them off.
But the FW ones look cool too -------------------- |

I used the Raptor jump packs for my Pre Heresy style black Templar, I think that they look fantastic, plus it runs along the vein of the technology suposed to be being slightly better and streamlined than current gear.
Though they are normally a little expensive to pick up (I was lucky and got a heap of the metal ones really cheap through fleabay). ![]() -Dono This post has been edited by Dono1979: Mar 9 2012, 04:22 PM -------------------- |

Yes the FW ones are the best those others seem to "Manga" if you know what I mean.

The studs look a bit too much like crusade pattern to me.
I think Maxmini actually also have a different design which would suit your purposes. Browse their store, I think they actually have three different jet pack variants. |

Yeah, the above version is the only one I like. The bronze pattern and the other look silly. Looking at getting some FW Mk5 guys and use the bodies for Sternguard. -------------------- |

Personally, the Bronze pattern are my fave from Maxmini.
However, i already have 5 current Raptors packs with insignia removed. -------------------- There are over 200,000 words in the English language.
