Well everyone seems to be saying the releases date is the 7th. So my guess is on the 31st you can pre-order and I guess get a look at the book at GW stores.

31st is the release date of the White Dwarf so Im sure that it will be detailed in there.

Just checked the webstore and the book still ships in 24hrs. Would GW really sell a book thats going to be replaced in a week and a half?

Wait; dont answer that...

I tried looking on the webstore; you cant order any of the old paints and the new ones are apparantly released on the same day.

Those new pics look pretty good my only real criticism (sp?) is that the gryphons heads look too small in proportion.

The demigryphs look like giant chickens. We should just dub them as KFC Cav.

Everything else looks sweet though.

I think the real value of the luminark/hurricanium/war altar kit is that you get volkmar, 2 priests, and 2 wizards, thats value right there. That one kit gives you all the hero choices required for one gun line army.

Interesting that they made both volkmar and KF plastic, is this the way of the future perhaps.

Shame about the finecast witch hunter, that model certainly appeals.

Given the Wizards box set is something like $42 now, getting two wizards in addition to the wizard truck is a far better deal.

Wow I have never before been dissappointed with an Empire release - Until now.

I have played empire for 18 years!

Shock aside I am surprised that the demigryph knights are so small. They are the size of chaos steeds? The FW one is on a chariot base isnt it?

Looking forward to picking up some bits on ebay to enhance my waralter conversion and here is hoping that gryphons get better rules wise so I can use them again.

Another hope is that the new fangled machines are just that and that they do not become must haves in the army in order to win some games. Lets hope they are like the VC ones (expensive points/dollars for what they do)

Can't help but think what a missed opportunity the alter kit was to bring back the war wagon.

Looking forward to seeing the rules.

I wonder if those griffon knights will be as 'useless' as the TK snake things.

your not the only one mightymouse.

im neither here nor there about the release.

Its rather underwhelming, The gryphon has an odd cast to its eye, the war altar and sundry just look tacky and all to similar to each other. The demi-gryph knights I think they are struggling from poor perspective photography, will need to see more of them.

GW marketing 101 - make the expensive new models overpowered in the game, and they will come.

What?

I like the look of the Demigryphs. Not a big fan of the War Alter or the Magical Party Buses. Though I can see some great Chaos Warshrines coming out of them. Tortured Volkmar anyone?

I like the engineer. The Griffin is pretty empressive, size wise, but I don't know if I like the pose or the look of the head.

I wonder if the Griffin will get a save. On a base that huge, without a save, cannonballs and stone throwers will have a field day.

Is it just me or does the Army Book cover look like a Renaissance T-100 terminator with a mini-gun?
