Geelong Gamers Guild
Presents
2012 June Blanket Crusade

A Warhammer 40k Tournament

Date: Monday 11th June 2012 (Queens Birthday)
Entry Fee: 1 NEW double bed blanket or larger.
Army Size: 1,000 points from a current printed Codex
Location: 33 Myres Street Geelong, Girls Guide hall.
When: 8:30 am until 6:00pm (regular guild night will follow)

This event is intended to raise a collection of products for donation to Geelong Anglican Church outreach program to assist those members of the community who are suffering through the winter chill. The entry fee of a NEW double bed blanket is intended to directly contribute to the support of these charities and not the organisers.
The event will be played over the course of 4 games, each consisting of a maximum 90 minutes, between armies of 1,000 points.

A Food Drive will also be run, players can donate a can of food to receive a re-roll in the game.
The food donated must be canned food products that are in good condition (not dented) and have at least 6 months left before the expiry date. These products will be donated to the Geelong Anglican Church outreach program.

Spectators welcome.

Hi

I'm new to the forum but count me in for a game, sounds like a good cause
I like the reroll rule with donated cans, the idea of a shot getting deflected by a can of beans made me smile
I've dusted off my old eldar army, but havent played the latest rules
I'm hopefully going to get a game to learn next monday

Cheers
AL

Its definitely still going ahead.

Armies don't need to be fully painted. Though unpainted armies will be unable to enter for the Best Painted army prize.

Can all players bring 3 copies of there army list with them. One to hand in upon registration, one for you and one for your opponent should they ask to see it.
I'll be taking registration of players on the morning of from 8:30. There is a limited number of places (20) that will be given out on a first come first serve basis. When your register you just need to give your blanket entry fee and a copy of your army list.
First game is set to start at 9:15.

The 4 rounds will consist of 2 Kill point missions and 2 Objective missions.

Are you expecting 20 players? I'm going to tell work tomorrow that i cant make it in so my monday is free to come play. Hopefully the 'first come, first serve' entry method doesnt screw me over armata_PDT_34.gif

Huge kudos to Joel for hosting another great blanket bash!

Thanks to all of my opponents, had four awesome games with some rather crazy dice rolls (9 rends from 20 dice?!)

Congrats to Ross for getting the clean sweep. I'd call you a cheesy bugger, but I know the truth is that you were the most generous food donor. Nice work smile.gif
