Heh,

found one of these in an old box from ages ago. Tried a few diffrent painting things, but made the gray a little to drab. Still, interesting to paint. Your thoughts please!

Blue, blue grey is an interesting colour choice.. I like the camo, but the dark blue on the engine seems out of place to me.
Perhaps swap to a contrasting colour?
Its also worth noting that the warm colour on the base clashes with the cool tones used on the actual model.

Weathering/damage is way OTT in my opinion.. I like that it is near where the drivers would use the roof to swing into the vehicle, but reduce it to a much smaller area & maybe keep the general damage closer to the edges.
I imagine that if such a fragile vehicle took that much wear & tear (Also how would some of that have happened? careless pilot?) it would not still be in the air armata_PDT_05.gif

Possibly use a dark grey instead of black for the damage base colour to reduce the impact?

Now steady on Lazarus, photographs very often completely bonk the contrasts on the head. This could look much better and subdued IRL.

I agree I'm not a fan of the camo colors/design, but it's a great job none-the-less!

Also it's a speeder, not a bike tongue.gif

Weathering, yeah there is a fair amount. At the front i thought if they were close to the ground and hitting small branches and such. Hence the tall grass.

Other base colours.....yeah, i really regret that red. But i just thought if i add more dark colours (gray etc) to the base i would just have a grey blob.

Thoughts on the blue camo. Just imagining if it was 'skylined' on a hillside against the sky. the blue lines would break up the outline of the 'speeder' (sure, its not a bike, no wheels!!) and disrupt weapons fire and line of sight. I think i may have been thining to much real world.

Still, thanks for the feedback, always good to not get somthing quite right and gather feedback to make it better next time!

sorry to sound so harsh, i should of put in some positive comments in there to. I like the weathering and the blue and gray on the engine it does match/contrast well but i think you should remove the camo or possibly weather this also looks a tad to clean.

The base it might just be the photo but the white on the base is this meant to be snow. i think you should get rid also. They where the only two issue i found with the model. other than that nice work.
