Seriously though, do it well you won't have an issue. One suggestion would be to make it easy to cover the symbols if someone has a genuine concern. (ie, not just me being a douche, tell me to get ######ed)

If people don't like it, the won't vote for it, like any other theme/scheme.

Yeah, Haterz gonna hate. Mabe they will be the same haterz who lost Grandparents or Great uncles and aunties (or other such relatives) because of the Nazi party and what they stood for. If it wasn't such a big deal in most of Europe these days you wouldn't get arrested for displaying it would you?
You want to do WW2 Germans (I have an army of 28MM ones myself), do Wehrmacht, or Luftwaffe or maybe Navy. Plenty of German forces from WW2 that didn't use the swastika. You can argue about the interwar period all you want and the good they did as much as you want, but one cup of sugar doesn't overcome a barrel of salt as my nan used to say.

On a similar note, at supernova Melbourne last week one guy went as an SS oficer with red swastika arm band. It was NOT well received.

A modonna with the big boobies is a must aswell as a lt name grubber that has a little tank. maybe even an Italian looking officer of the fleet.

I like the scheme and as people have already stated I see steel legion models I see nazis it's obvious where the inspiration came from for there look.

If people whinge complain or claim it's hurt them deeply smile politely "that's a shame" they'll survive.

Here's my idea for the army. 2 words. Jewish conscripts . Really though All this crap that is coming out in your thread is just reverse descrimination at its finest, Hitler was a bad guy so there for anyone who does'nt hate everything that was ever associated with him and his party are just as bad. If you follow along the path of what atrocities were commited and how many people were killed as the measure for how evil something is then by that understanding if you read the bible it turns out God is actually worse then Hitler. Or this could all just be total crap and it's just a dude who want to paint an army his own way. What do any of you up on your soap boxes really get from all this crying about what in reality is a pretty cool looking symbol? well if people have a problem with this as a mere paint job, then if you really look into marines and their philosphy then noone should play marines.

the emperor came to power through might of arms, made armies of Super Soldiers, is invading systems to either eradicate other races and return those who are deemed worthy back under imperial rule.

when a world is found, it is given the altermative of being compliant or being destroyed, once they are either made or become compliant the workers of the imperium send the populace off to "re-education camps" they abolish all forms of religions and beliefs.

they also enslave the local population into working in the great machine to fuel the imperium in its manufactories under the belief that they are under imperial rule and that is what loyal citizens do, if not you are a rebel.

anyone a threat to the imperium is hunted down by the inquisition which have too many underlying links to the spanish

so you wait until i see marines at the next tourny im going to be offended by 80% of my opponents armies
