Scarlet had one back in the 60s (1967) - but it was also featured in the 2005 CGI newer series.

The Valiant is a recent addition to Dr Who. It shares many similarities to Cloudbase (Scarlet) and was first shown in 2007.

Avengers HelliCarrier. S.H.I.E.L.D has a whole fleet of those suckas in the comic books. 1965 strange tails 1965 predates your Captain Scarlet 1967 by a few years.
But cant we all just agree that flying carriers are just boss and move on??
