I finally cleaned and based my Chaos team and tonight got out the brush and acrylic and undercoated them.

I know, poo brown for the win, right?
I got the idea from Dave's WHFB Beastmen that were undercoated brown. I don't like black undercoat because I struggle to pick out detail once it is done. Also I think this team probably play in the mud alot. -------------------- |

I'm starting to put base colours down on Beastmen. As per my usual painting, I'm very slow, because I use a 000 brush even for larger areas to give me control over what I'm doing.
I've painted Game Color "Charred Brown" around mouths, eyes, nostrils. Then "Plague Brown" for skin. I've only done a couple of them so far - and am considering doing four Beastmen with this skin colour, and then the four others in a slightly different shade, just for variety. It's coming up quite yellow, but this should tone down later with washes, highlights, etc.   -------------------- |

I've chosen "Parasite Brown" for the other four Beastmen. Here is one of them base coated, with a "Plague Brown" dude to show the contrast.

This is what happens when you should be studying. All eight Beastmen are up to the same stage, I'm just posting pics of a couple of them though because it looks better.
game color Bone White and game color Gunmetal Metal ...  Followed by a citadel Devlan Mud wash.   Now onto highlights and some more details! We also stripped the paint off an old Chaos Warrior figure of Dave's with a Claw, so that I can paint him to match my team and take him to WaacyBowl.
