Special Rules:
We will be trialling all of the rules in the new version of Warhammer. There will be a 20 minute period at the start of each game to roll for warlords, deploy fortifications, setup terrain and deploy. Players exceeding this time may be penalised.

Allies are allowed as is the second detachment for going over 2000 points. Allthough no comp lists will be reviewed and anything the mafia deems overly excessive will be rejected. Remember this is a chance to bring out your big toys and have fun, its not an exercise in list building and how to break the allies rules.
If you bring lots of infantry you will need to bring movement trays
Choosing a Spearhead:

This is a little different to your standard game of Warhammer 40k. There are no minimum Troops or HQ choices. You may include the following in your list:

Primary Detachment
0-2 HQ
0-3 Elite
0-6 Troops
0-3 Fast Attack
0-3 Heavy Support
0-1 Fortifications

Spearhead Detachments
0-1 Spearhead of each Formation type

Allied Detachment
0-2 Allied HQ
0-2 Allied Elite
0-4 Allied Troops
0-2 Allied Fast Attack
0-2 Allied Heavy Support

2nd Detachment
0-2 HQ
0-3 Elite
0-6 Troops
0-3 Fast Attack
0-3 Heavy Support
0-1 Fortifications

Scoring Units:
As per 6th edition rulebook along with the following.
All spearhead units. There are a few exceptions, where units that would otherwise qualify do not count as scoring units:
If they have the Swarm special rule.
If they have a special rule specifying that they never count as scoring units.

updated the missions and rules in the first post to reflect the new edition. I figured it would be better to test everything out in a cheesy event before trying to incorporate it into a less cheesy event like Force Z biggrin.gif or Scrubcon.

You've also cut back to just one date...is there something you'd like to share?

The boss has told me she is unavailable for the following weekend and I don't fancy trying to control the little psychos on my own and organise the event biggrin.gif

I`ll make the 18th happen, at worst it will slide to the Sunday and into the drama rooms again.

Just had a read of the edits above...Since we can have two detachments, I think that this bit...

QUOTE
0-2 HQ
0-3 Elite
0-6 Troops
0-3 Fast Attack
0-3 Heavy Support
0-1 Spearhead of each Formation type

Is actually like this, right? Or does having two detachments mean 2 of each Spearhead? Can you have Allied spearheads? Spearheads made from Allies? Can you mix and match allies and non-allies in one spearhead? Does the answer depend on trust levels?

QUOTE

0-4 HQ
0-6 Elite
0-12 Troops
0-6 Fast Attack
0-6 Heavy Support
0-2 Fortifications
0-1 Spearhead of each Formation type
0-2 Allied HQ
0-2 Allied Elite
0-4 Allied Troops
0-2 Allied Fast Attack
0-2 Allied Heavy Support

Is 2500 pts enough for all that?

So who is going to be a knob and bring an all flier army?

*Edit* Hull points for super heavies? And pending an answer, anyone got a warhound I can borrow?

aaagggh crap. I thought dropping the apoc from last time would fix this. Jason also has some queries about fortifications and a spearhead formation. Leave it with me and I will answer in the next few days.

Also if anyone wants to TO/data monkey for me i`d love to play in this one biggrin.gif

For those who haven't seen it, a preliminary set of Forgeworld FAQs and rules for 6th ed are up at this location.

Specifically, the Apocalypse update rules will be of interest to us here.
