Here's the original thread, in case you missed it.

Things were going fine until a Mod decided to get a little butt-hurt and lock the thread.

So, if we can keep butt-hurt mods out of this thread, we should be able to continue the moderate and reasoned discussion that was going on in the other.

I'm not expecting this thread to last long, I imagine the same mod will come in and close it, but I feel like the mod powers were abused in the original thread and it was closed unfairly.

I suspect the thread got locked less because of any 'butt-hurt' and more because of the fact that that particular diorama has already been discussed on here before - it did not turn out well, even though many had the noblest of intentions it turned into what every thread in OT about religion/sexisim/politics etc turns into and that latest thread was taking the exact same turns

My gut instinct was to lock it after the shambles last time. I decided to make a 'keep it nice so we can keep it open' post which apparently (according to people in the thread) meant I was:

a) immature;
b) dismissive of male rape victims;
c) sexist;
d) and a hypocrite.

I dismissed some of them as dogpiling but when the reports started I pulled the pin.

I am in fact now getting reports on *THIS* thread.

To re-iterate, I was trying to make sure the thread stayed polite so we wouldn't have to close it. Others seemed to think that me asking them to be polite was some sort of mortal insult. Heaven forbid.

Rule number 1 of WAU is stay polite. Making jokes around rape is *not* polite.

I have actually read both copies of slaves to darkness. I know what they used to do in the books. I started playing around 86-87(?)

I have no problem with people reading whatever they want or modelling whatever they want. The only thing I have a responsibility for in this is keeping the content of these forums at a certain level of decorum. With the recent XXX army diary I let the boobs go but asked for pics to stop once it reached genitalia nailed to shields.

Apparently (according to the army diary) I am some sort of monster for wanting people to abide by the WAU rules. Maybe I'm supposed to be a monster because I wasn't in support of nailed genitalia.. I'm not 100% sure..

The point was people had already started making off colour jokes in a thread that was already pushing it.. I tried to give it some life by setting out the ground rules but it feels like people didn't like me pointing out that they had to behave like humans..
