Well, I got my box of goodies yesterday from Quentin (Many thanks to whoever it was suggested I go from him, the deals are good and a gent to deal with).

All I can say is...WOW!

The 3rd ed hardback confontation book is visually stunning, the Griffin minis I got were just awesome (A whole chunk on Order form France will be here in a few weeks), and the overall feeling I'm getting from this is very very good.

All I have to do is now convert a few of the guys up here to play (Hmmm, Lister, Big Al and maybe GT are due on Saturday over here....*thinks*)

Now I have this horrible urge to order some of the Goblins (Love the eastern theme), plus they can also double up as Gnoblars to my Samurai Ogre riding a Rhinox project!

Just a couple of quick questions...army lists. Are they in the book, do I need to order another ruleset? (Or are they online)

The Cry Havoc magazines are a bit pricey, but having never seen one, are they worthwhile? Whats in 'em and will I have another sink hole to throw money into?

Cheers !

Mark (The bloke who is about to be castrated after promising his wife that after his OK army was done, there would be nothing else he "needed in 2006")

the best part of this game is that you dont actually need to spend money on price army books as every pack (box and blister) comes with the minid rules as well as a basic game rule book (kinda a pain in the ass actualy)

There is no armylists as such.....all the minis come with their game rules but there are online resources.....try this link for all the cards and their costs...lets you plan an army before buying them....

rackscan.net has profiles.

also, the Cry Havocs at $30AUD for a quarterly magazine are not expensive. CH 1 to 6 was quarterly, think about it, its like $10 a month, similar to a white dwarf and far more superior in quality and painting / modelling articles.

Hey Mark, after finally seeing these gorgeous rackham mini's and starting a Slaanesh army, I have decided it would be an injustice to the eyes of the gaming community not to include some of these mini's in my army. I understand that you have ordered Razhem the insane, If so would i be able to come around one weekend with the boys and check him out. Gorgeous miniature!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

Hehehe, all good to hear. :-D

Spead the word in the north, we'll spread it in the south and one day we'll meet in the middle having converted everyone.

Seriously though, I hope you Brissie lads can get a good little C3 community started up there. We're certainly enjoying it down here in Melbourne.

Hey Dave,

No worries mate, you are welcome to take a gander at the shed and the new toys (Mate, they are simply some of the best miniatures I have seen for a long time, I even got a Hound of Scathach to pull my nurgle chariot in the Carnival as he was just too good to pass up!)

Bish, will do my best old boy! Hoping to look at running a few demo games at the BIG club in a few months (When my twins start sleeping through the night!).

Let's see if we can make this baby fly!

Gidday Mark, glad to hear you got your Confrontation models, sure would like to see them.
In addition to The Watcher and The Master of Carnage, recently got Asgarth and scored a bulk lot (4) of Wolfen from the U.S. thru e-bay, Killiox, hunter, predator and loner + spellbook.
Can't wait to see the exhibition games!
Cheers.

who's Quentin?

can he get the figures cheap?

if so that would be great, since that's what was turning me off this game, ie the price
