The cost will be $25 per tournament ($50 for both).

House Rules

Forests
All forests extend to the edge of the templates that the trees are placed on. All forests are at least S7, or higher as the actual trees indicate, whichever is highest. Unless trees are blocking LoF, use S7 template at the far edge of the forest template to judge seeing over trees from sniper towers etc. at a target on the other side of the forest.
When moving or shooting through trees/forests they are Difficult Terrain, Low Visibility Zones and Saturation Zones.
New order required to enter terrain, can only use second movement value for both short skills. Burst -1, minimum 1; BS -3.
The effect is cumulative with other Low or Poor Visibility Zones and Saturation or High Saturation Zones, each level of MSV may reduce this visibility penalty by 3. MSVs must be applied to either terrain or the skills and equipment of the enemy troop, but cannot be applied to both. Eg: MSV2 vs ODD in a forest would be best used to counter the -6 of the ODD and not -3 of the terrain.
In combination with other zones, the burst can be reduced to 0 or less.

Doors and Windows
Unless the attacker or the target are in base to base with the windows or doors, all windows and doors are considered Saturation Zones. Burst -1, minimum 1.
Further more, Windows are considered Difficult Terrain and must be of the same width as the troop base. A new order is required to climb through a Window, and the troop can only use second movement value for both short skills.
The effect is cumulative with other Saturation or High Saturation Zones. In combination with other zones, the burst can be reduced to 0 or less.

Stairs, Ladders, Railings and Walkways
Stairs and Walkways have the restriction that they will only allow movement of models that can fit their bases flat on the path**.
Railing offer partial cover but never full cover.
Stairs can be used for motor bikes as ramps, but will required to be 55mm wide minimum.
The spaces between the steps of Stairs and between the components of supporting pillars are considered to be blocking Line of Fire.
Ladders do not have to be of the width of the base of the troop. All units that can climb can go up Ladders. All such troops gain the ability of Climbing Plus while they are in contact with the Ladders.

** Some railing support on gantries and stairs may block units with larger bases. These can be ignored as the units can squeeze/climb past them.

QUOTE(Lone_Pathfinder @ Mar 30 2015, 01:14 PM) *

There has been some discussions on the main forums that BioTechVore is not such an enjoyable scenario because the player going first has a huge advantage.

What are the general thoughts? Any alternative suggestions? Thanks all!

i think biotechvore really needs excessive amounts of scenery... the theme would suit that pretty well too tho, that would help nullify the first turn advantage (maze table maybe?)

I read that 2nd turn had a massive advantage in BTV as you were assured that your opponent would be running all his dudes 4-4 forwards. So if you made sure you had guys deployed to cover advances (even deploying your dudes in the open) your opponent would have no choice but to move and cop the AROs.

TR remotes, Sin-eaters, link teams etc. They just pick people off as they run from the plague.

But either way it seems like you need heaps of terrain.

I have a few questions about the interactions between the allies:

- Can you doctor/medpac your allies models?

- Can you engineer their models?

- Can you utilise each others repeaters?

More general questions:

- Can anyone going 2nd/4th spend a command token to make the person going first lose 2 orders from their pool?

- If you are going 3rd/4th can you spend a command token to make the person going 2nd/3rd lose 2 orders from their pool?

Biotechvore is an interesting mission. It forces people to move their usually entrenched models and cheerleaders. Suggestion would be to limit the use of command tokens for people not going first to either lose 2 orders or use a single command token in the first turn because applying both to the person going first is really rough.
