I have sent a number of emails without any response?

I have tried to telephone them? I get a message asking me to leave a message. No-one calls back.

Has anyone visited their shop lately? Was there any staff presence there?

Or have they closed up and flown off?

I used to support them a lot. Over the last 18 months or so they have been shocking with backorders and communication and doing what they say they will. I can't trust them with my money anymore. Its a shame, they used to be amazing back in the day. Now to see if I can get a refund on my latest long standing back order...

I have literally never heard a good word about them. For years now I have heard a litany of stories of slow response and terrible service.

They're great if you're buying stock that is definitely in store and you can hold it because it's in the store right now in your hand and you can buy it right now. Less good otherwise.

I haven't ordered anything for a while from them. Like others, they used to much better than my last couple of experiences with them (all the item I ordered except one said they were in stock on the website, turned out that none of the items were).

That said, the last time I compained about them here on WAU I got a PM from one of the guys at MilSims who then was able to eventually get me the item I was after. So you may get lucky, or you may not.

I haven't bought anything from them since their move, however there was a number of pre-orders that I had to cancel during there move that had been sitting on their system for upwards of 18 months but was all still listed as 'In Stock' on their website.
I have since been buying my board games from oZgamestore and they have been awesome and cheap too.
Don't give them your money anymore, and if you have to travel out that way then try Joe dodgy games instead...

Was also going to comment about the "Oh, time for a MilSims is crap" post.
Next week will be the GW prices are too high one.

Sad thing is, I rarely see any "MilSims Mail order is great" posts anymore.

I often get asked by people about stores in Melbourne or mail order for Australia. (Even though I am in Canberra). I have not been able to recommend MilSims for years. I am also not buying a grand or so worth of battlefoam from an Australian store, as they seem to be the only stockist in Australia.

Either they will fix the issues they have, or there will be a going out of business sale.

Yes they responded to my comment, but without contacting me by message or by telephone.

It appears they don't want to refund my money.

I would be very happy if someone did contact me and provided some level of customer support.

As to suggestions of 'beating up' on MilSims. I paid $180 for a pre-order back in April. The items have been available since May. They are still on pre-prder. Numerous emails have not been replied to. Ringing the store to leave a message does not get a reply. I think they deserve all the negative publicity they are getting as they are not providing 'customer service' at all. Just taking my money and...

Finally got a response from them. He will pass my request over to his staff to process the cancellation.

We will see how long it takes to get my money refunded.

Took me nearly 8 months to get an order (super dungeon explore foam + expansion). It felt like they literally wait until they get enough orders and then only then do they make an order to the supplier and never have stock anymore..

Which wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the fact that they don't tell you that (or the website say they are currently in stock).

Maybe "In Stock" means it is in stock... Somewhere, in another store, somewhere else in the world.

I got told off by the guy behind the counter last time I went there and said I couldn't find the item that was in stock on the shelf. Apparently I should understand what MilSims means by instock, rather than being in stock. I was also meant to understand this without having it explained to you any where on their website.
