Nice min,

But i think you need a bit more work on the hoofs and the horns, also the elf head could use some more detail, cause if it is just been loped off needs a more fresh blood feel or if old needs more of a decayed feel.

i'm not a big hero painter but having seen some of the other entries for single minature fantasy you need to do a bit more.

Also the base need a little bit more work (this all could be photo though)

Its nicely painted and posed...but it just doesn't "pop" for some reason.
I think, maybe, it may be that the leather of the hood and loincloth is too close in colour to the skin tone.

Hey Max, relax, its not that awesome. your pilgrim last year looked better than this.

Hey Bevan, hope we'll catch up at some stage for a chat.

hey Zippy. yeah, its a bit lacking. just using it as a good chance to work the metallics.

Kyle, bought my plane ticket. flying up with a friend. its gonna be a great social trip. wont win though with the single mini. just being realistic!

hey Zor, slowing finishing it.

IPB Image

still have the horns, hooves, hair, weathering on metal, blood stains, and base to go.

Hmmm, I don't know about that. Thing about that pilgrim was that it looked good from a distance but up close was a different story armata_PDT_04.gif But anyways, looking good man and about the whole lack of contrast between the colours, I actually like that, especially in a chaos figure. Your metals are looking good too.

Still looking good weis!

I'm trying to power through a lotr large entry that I started the other day. It's kinda scary knowing there are so few days left to paint.

Actually the base is what I don't like about this miniature, mostly because I'm pretty damn sure I have seen it some of Weisern's other work.
I think you should start experimenting with making your own bases.
