Hello again

I have had manufactured foam inserts which fit inside a Craftech aluminium tool case readily available from Bunnings for $24. The cases are lightweight aluminium, with 2 lockable latches and a carry strap.

These trays are die cut and measure 440mm x 310mm x 25mm deep (plus a 6mm base so each tray is 31mm total thickness of which 25mm is useable). They each contain 60 25mm x 50mm cut outs in which to house your miniatures. If you need bigger ones, then just like in a GW tray you can cut the foam to your specifications.

I will be selling a set of 4 trays + an extra bit of 440mm x 310mm x 6mm foam to use as a topsheet for $55 +postage. For those people who live in rural areas I can also supply the cases from Bunnings at cost + $5, and postage will most likely be an extra $5-10 in postage depending on your location.

So for a total of $80 + postage (on average $10 for 1 set or $15 for 2) you will be able to have a sturdy carry case that holds more than twice as many figures as an $85 GW one (they hold 108).

If you would like to purchase a set, please EMAIL me at minisofttransports@gmail.com and I will sort out your order.

Here is a pic of the final product:

As long as you haven't customised the GW case, take it back and claim store credit for some minis then buy one of mine! Thats what I'd do! LOL

Cheers

Hey there,

if i order some, would you be able to post to Adelaide so i can grab them when i am over for aconvention in a month?

and also, whats the model number of the case, i want to make sure its the same one in the NZ Bunnings, i assume it will be, but would hate to stuff it up and get the wrong case beucase of differences across countries.

Cheers

Al, just grab the case at Bunnings in Adelaide - saves lugging it for the first leg of the trip!

The foam inserts arrived today and my local Bunnings had the case. Let me tell you, these things fit PERFECTLY into the case and I am massively impressed with the whole thing!!

The reason alot of Bunnings are/were out of stock is that the distribution warehouse was out of stock. I believe they have started to restock their stores now, as (one of) my local Bunnings has them back in stock. Just go to the Bunnings website, and ring all the ones near you to ask about a 'Craftech Aluminium Tool Case' and see if they have em before you go driving all over the shop.

Failing that, if they are actually out of stock, I will try to stock up on them here and people can then get them from me. The problem with this is that it doubles the postage cost to most places.

Regards
Dave

a trip to bunnings is never an entirely wasted affair...good bit and pieces in their craft section and as I have been going through PVA like it is beer a trip is never wasted...notic they had an acrylic caulk for about 3 bucks, time to try out that area of terrain making... any way am going past a bunnings tomorrow so might drop in there, they are never that far away..
