do the 2000pts main force + 250pts detachment +250pts detachment have to = a legal force?
or does the 2000pt main force + 1 250pt detachment required. For instance could you have a character in each detachment even tho it would bring you over your limit for characters, but when fielding one detachment it wouldn't bring you over the limitation? I hope this made sense. Cheers Nash. -------------------- Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!!! |

For the army to be legal,
Core 2000 pt list + 250 pt detachment 1 = legal list Core 2000 pt list + 250 pt detachment 2 = legal list So your options for submitting lists are 1 x 2250 Pt List OR 1 x 2000 Pt List 2 x 250 Pt Lists If you choose the second option you cannot use pts from the detachments to do things such as give a hero an extra magic item, Bump a cav unit up to 10 from 6, give a unit a magic banner etc. Anything in the 250pt detachments are standalone. They must be full units or full characters, the detachment is not there so that you can customize the magic items on 3 characters, etc. The 250pt detachments are not changeable you cannot only use 150pt detachments and a 2100pt main force. its either a 2250 straight list or 2000 list and 2 * 250pt detachments Hope that helps b5w |

Thats not how b5 warriors post reads?
Let me re-write this, as i would like to have it straight before painting up minis that wont be able to be used. say i had 3 character slots used in my 2000pts main force. Then had a character in each of my detachments. as ill only be using one detachment at a time i would only ever have 4 characters on the field at one time. If the TO could clarify this would be much apreciated. your second post is correct your first is not
your army as a whole must be legal EG you cannot swap characters from your main list with your detachment standard army limitations still apply hope this clears up any dramas. pretty sure this is how it has been run for the past 2 years This post has been edited by SpOOn: Dec 10 2007, 04:20 PM -------------------- Blue Aspect Gaming Aids

A pity about not including SOC lists - it might put a few of the Hampton guys off.
More importantly what are you going to allow re Vampire Counts? ie their new armybook is due to be released just prior to the tournament. -------------------- In the end, we're all dead men. Sadly, we cannot choose how, or when. But what we can choose is how we decide to meet that end, so we are remembered forever as men.

According to the advert in the latest White Dwarf the new Vampire Counts won't be released until March and with the tournament being on the 1st & 2nd March it is likely it won't be released in time to use. Even if it is it won't be out in time for people to have become familar with it so in the interest of fairness we will be restricting the tournament to the current (soon to be old) army book.

QUOTE A pity about not including SOC lists - it might put a few of the Hampton guys off. I strongly doubt it will, its not like we all play Daemon Legions. The only people who play SoC lists at Hampton are Dino and Ben. Ben spends half the time using his Vampire Counts anyway and Dino didn't use a SoC army at Axemaster despite being allowed to so I'm sure ther'll be no problems. -------------------- |

Not sure how many of the Hampton boys will be there this year, Greg has his house up for auction that day so won't be there and he tends to be the deciding factor on whether people want to come up or not. I'll be there though, testing out the new High Elves under tournament conditions. -------------------- |

It says no SoC lists, how about fielding the Hellcannon in a regular Mortal army?

Depending on numbers from the HGC we might be looking at getting a room at the youth hostel place we had last year, although i have no idea how many people are interested in going as yet.
Is there a date for list submission? I have alot of painting to do on my High Elves so it could be a last minute decision. -------------------- |

Lists need to be in a week before the event, I have a bit of space at my place, so a few people can crash here.
