Well once again the event has come up on us ...... like a freight train int he night!
Special Characters New Army List. Direct Deposits Tin Soldier Sydney Deposits. Mayhem Softball Soccer Softball. Softball. Did I mention Softball? Dancing girls.... We had it all!! All drama aside. We had our higherst turn out yet. 40 players scared the crap out of me to be truthful. 30-Something is one thing but there is something scarey about the number 40 (maybe its 'cause its my age this year? So with a massive build project during the week behind us we entered the Tournament. In the end we had 39 players. Unfortunately due to my needing to be elsewhere as the day progressed I was unable to play a bye-buster and we went with a bye for the duration....sort of (the bye player received the battle points average of the winners of the round. Their comp etc scores were worked out as an average overall). Tragedy befell one of our members on sunday when his army went MIA on a train from Strathfield to Penrith. This is a real crappy situation and I hope it is found. Lost Army Overall I found the games were played in a real positive attitude and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. The winners are below as is some of the piccies and a link to a picture hosting site! Thank you to Tin Soldier, Back 2 Base-IX and Gamesworkshop for all their support. Thanks to Jezza40K for his amazing help , to Brett, Harry, Jarrod and Jezza for their amazing terrain skillz on tuesday night (when I realised just how many were coming!!) and to Rowan for his holding open the Tin Soldier Penrith past closing on Sunday and offer of generous discount for the punters. Thanks all for attending and I hope to see you again. ![]() PS you all left too early - we had dancing girls performing while we cleaned up. Yes, the clean upp took aaaaages...... |

Thanks for a fantastic tourney Bails. I had 5 great games and all my opponents were great sports. It was great to see the time limits enforced well and to have an early finish was a real blessing for all us travellers. Well done to Traishey for showing us all that the new Vampires are truley a force to be reckoned with. Well done to all involved. The Dubbo boys will definitely be there in force next year.

If I can get a copy of these results in either HTML or Excel format that would be great. I could put them in the rankings asap.
Also the armies that people played would be good. Andrew G. -------------------- Rankings HQ

Sorry Skaapie I really am. I tried and tried but gave up as all your alternates for each round were also skellies of one sort or another ...
GT am trying to compile now (I cleaned up last night and am embarressed to say I am having trouble finding the entry forms... Thanks for the kind words fellas. Honestly if the community that played were a bunch of frakk-tards I doubt I would keep going, but since the quality of the players is so damn high - it just keeps me coming back. So cheers to my players - you guys make it worth while doing. Now to start prepping early for the Sept 40K!!!!! |

Hey Bails
Big thanks for the tourny. I had a great time, which was good because this is my final Warhammer event before I leave for distant shores. But don't worry, I'll be back from Japan with the Eldar for September. Thanks again mate. Pat Hutch -------------------- Mmmmm, curry...

Hey fellas, I had a great time at the tourney, despite losing 5 games straight. I think going down 9-11 in the first game and losing my Daveness lost me the edge...
I had 5 great opponents, and learnt heaps about playing at this level. thanks Bails, and everyone else who made the weekend great! My Dwarf Queen and her shield bearers snotted the Khemri-ness out of a Khemri army and that gave me a win. Was a fantastic weekend, even tho it was a tad bit warm. Dwarves gave a better account of themselves that they did last time, and was a few great games. As usual also a few lessons to be learned as well. One point I want to make. You can have no problem with Tecilis but a KHEMRI load with .. well.. er.. Khemri!! Tecilis wasnt much of a drama. Mind you.. My Toughness of 4 was a great help. Khemri however.. <shudder>. Theres a grudge there, trust me!! All in all Bails old sone another great event. Seems we have got it down pat!! Looking forward to the 40K version later in the year..!! -------------------- "When was the last time you betrayed the Emperor?"
