ENTRIES
Entries are to be in by the 10th of September. There is a maximum of 36 players positions available. Subject to change by organiser’s, dependant on response.

GENERAL RULES
5th Edition Rules are in play for this Tournament. 1750 Points.
Any Codex released prior to the 01 September 2008 is eligible for use including White Dwarf approved armies and Imperial Armour.
The standard mission force organization chart will be used.
No Allies, with the exception of Codex: Daemonhunters, Witch-hunters and Codex: Eye of Terror (in specific, Lost and Damned).
All models are to be representative.
No VDR or Super Heavies are to be used, how-ever Imperial Armour Vehicles may be used (for example – Manticore, Hydra etc)
All army rosters will be clearly laid out and legible.
There will be five games over the weekend, three on Saturday and two on Sunday, each game lasting for 2.5 hours with a half an hour break between them. The five missions will be supplied at the start of the tournament.
Tournament scoring will comprise Battle Scores (100), Sports (25), Army Composition (25), and Painting (25). These will form a final overall score.
Sports, Painting and Composition will be peer based.
First Round “Grudge Matches” to be arranged with the TO prior to Tournament, with both players consent. Emperor’s Legion challenge of Son’s of Terra , as usual.
No cheating. Bribery at the ref’s discretion ;^)

Sunday:
0800 Doors open
0900 Fourth Game Starts

People paying by cheque will not have their places confirmed until their cheques clear. Players will be responsible for any fee’s incurred by any dishonoured cheques. Players that are NOT financial will not be permitted to compete until outstanding debts have been paid.
All models must be of the appropriate type for what they represent and must be painted to a minimum of undercoat. Since part of the scoring includes paint jobs, it is suggested to have a go at least.
Terrain will be placed by the organisers and is not to be moved.
The Referee's judgement in rules disputes will be final. Please note that if in the unlikely situation the Referee is wrong wink.gif remember that he is indeed human.
The Tournament Organiser reserves the right to remove players from the Tournament under appropriate conditions (such as loaded dice, blatant cheating etc). Scoring breakdown, including Tie-breaking formula, is available at the end of the Tournament

Look forward to seeing all the old hands ( even some new people ) there!

Are you sure 4th ed rules are going to be used as 5th ed would have been out for 2 and a half months.

Regardless I plan to be there smile.gif

At this moment, 4th Edition Rules are set.

This is possible to change depending on how much it affects the players and terrain.

Unfortunately I remember the first three months of both 3rd and 4th edition and the turmoil they caused amongst player base and don't want to run a tourny amongst that!

Also the new effects of terrain need to be looked at in reference to the terrain we have at the Club as well..

So for the moment anyway, 4th edition is in play.

Will make a final decision by the mid of August. Promise. Truly..... wink.gif

As always I am very keen and will do my best to take home another trophy...

A bit curious about your decision to playn4th but I'll still play so long as it's 40K and not twiddly winks or something!

mmm, a final chance to utilise those super duper 4th ed combos kike Holofalcons, and my Eldar is actually underoated can I do it in time, just 3 months after Lords, surely even I can manage a couple of coats on ~50 models in that time! Famous last words..

8am??? Homina homina homina, Ill need to leave home by 6:30... I predict tardiness!

It's high time someone other than a Queenslander or Kiwi took the trophy away from NSW...

Gotta say, that with the rules I have seen I am strongly leaning towwards 5th edition.....

Decision will be made after official release of the 12th June when I am absolutely sure!!!

At the moment I am personnaly lenaing toward 5th ed but they tell me this is a democracy soooooo.....

(I thought it was a militaristic Dictatorship myself but meh what do I know........)

+1 for 5th ed.

I am strongly considering making this my 1st ever GW tournament if it is played under 5th ed rules. I won't have played 4th ed for a few months at the time of it, so would probably not bother going if it was 4th ed.

+1 for 5th ed.

Being out of the loop for a while, and would prefer to come back in on the 5th ed, instead of trying to learn the changes with 5th ed, as well as refresh myself on 4th ed. smile.gif

Although, I do understand why you've chosen 4th ed. at the moment. As yes, it can be tricky running a tournament on a new system, when not only players, but refs, are still getting used to the new system. I'll come regardless of what rules are used, would just prefer 5th. Being to long since my pups saw some decent action armata_PDT_36.gif
