well definately a close and intense day of gaming, which can be shown in the final results too. Between 2nd and 5th there is only 1 point of difference.

Awesum.

Chad

(PS: Any 1 higher on any of the soft scores and I'd have come second. Now thats insentive to re-paint my marines!)

keep digging... I just win the important ones.

I'd like to also note esp for you Scumcleaner, I was the only top tier to go (and win) with a new list (Tau last, Daemons this- tactics totally different) this year.... (Except for Josh who thinks money is more important than gaming... sheesh... I woulda liked another run against the Salamanders)

Thanks for the comment about sports at the presentation too. (how long are you going to blow that trumpet?)

Good, to see a few newcomers starting to perform consistantly. My results are only a win away, next year...

Sure everyone likes to win, but in the end, the poduim is small and lonely place and you needed everyone else to get there.

I'd like to publicly apologise to Stacy, having been made aware by him that my comments may be taken as a slur.
I'd like to say that any comments about Stacy's soft scores were meant as a congratulations and that I was genuinely pleased to see people give him his due. In my head it was more a comment on the ability of a group of masters to put sillyness aside and game honestly. The main soft score I was referring to was painting and not sportsmanship.
I'd hoped my congratulations came across as genuine as they were, and in no way meant to infer that Dave's victory in Orktoberfest was more or less important, I just like making jokes about that awesome boltgun...

again, my apologies and congratulations to Stacy Dennis

have to say i am both pleased and surprised by my scores. i will have to take a bit more of a competitive list next time though. overall the day went really well and it is a testament to the people who played that the scores were so close and i can only hope i manage to get an invite to the next masters.

Sadly, I'm not really top tier (DE-FAULT!), nor did I win (SOFT SCORES!)...and yet, I'm pretty sure I managed to use 3 different codexes at tourneys this year...hmmm, maybe I could go for a record next year...new codex at each tourney.

Well let me bounce off my sick bed to say well done to all the players, the day went as well as i could possibly have hoped, and a big thank you to Troy who played good tough bye matches (dispite his lord not knowing which end of his weapon was which) and saved my elbows with his maths and scribing abilities.

I was very pleased with the format and the seeded first round, and the good spirit the games were played in. It even inspired me to take up the dice again!

See you all next year!

PS for full spelling of names reference the entries thread:)
