The EWA committee is pleased to announce that its 4th UPRISING fantasy tournament & its 2nd DOWNFALL 40k tournament will both be held on the weekend of 25th & 26th July 2009
Full details are listed below, any questions post or pm Further updates as time progresses. cheers Terry (b5warrior) When : July 25 & 26 , 2009 Where : Ballarat Table Tennis Center Hollioake Park, Dowling Street Wendouree 3355 UPRISING 2009 What : Warhammer Fantasy 7th Edition, 6 Games Scenerios : As per mission pack (see WAU topic re player and mission packs) Restrictions: 2250 points - RESTRICTIONS - No SoC lists, No White Dwarf Units/Armies, No special Characters, No BOTB armies Armies will be SPLIT into 2 segments You make a 2000 point army and two 250 point segments to add on to your 2000 point list, each game you choose which one of the two segments you'd like to add to your list before each game You can submit a single 2250pts list if you want (but lose the advantage of the segments) The combined 2250 list (2000 + 250) must be a legal list. All miniatures MUST BE PAINTED and BASED. Unpainted miniatures CANNOT be fielded and will be removed from the table DOWNFALL 2009 What : Warhammer 40k 5th Edition, 6 Games Scenarios : As per mission pack (see WAU topic re player and mission packs)A 5th edition Warhammer 40,000 rules, plus all Codices and Chapter Approved rules (except where exempted below) 1,500 point army (conforming to the standard force organisation chart), plus one Objective (60mm base size). All miniatures MUST BE PAINTED and BASED. Unpainted miniatures CANNOT be fielded and will be removed from the table All current Codex armies and variants may be taken. If Chapter Approved list supercedes the Codex list, use the Chapter Approved instead. In addition, the following may be taken: - Allies as specified in Codex Daemonhunters and Witch Hunters; - Drop Pods may be taken but must be modelled; - Flyers may be taken but will use the Apocalypse rules - Vehicles from Imperial Armour (except listed below), - Special or unique characters; The following may not be taken: - Superheavies; - anything with mass points or structure points; - Gargantuan creatures; - Apocalypse formations; - Allies except as specified above; - Vehicle Design Rules or Creature Design Rules; - Chapter Approved Optional or Trial rules; - Any rule which requires "opponent's consent". If in doubt about whether your army is legal, please ask first! Chapter Approved Rules FAQs will be used where appropriate. Please see the GW website. Players wishing to quote from a FAQ must provide a copy on the day. Notes If you intend to be sitting on a seat please bring a deck chair(without sharp edged feet) and a piece of cardboard to place it on so the court floors will not get damaged/scratched Please bring an additional copy of your Army Roster on the day to show your opponent, plus your Army Background to hand in with your name included. Why would you think there is no interest from Melbourne Nash? We have some trophies to collect!
I have not idea who will head up this year but assuming I am able to, you will see me again - definately one of the coolest tourneys i've been to (3 times now!). -------------------- Therapy after copping 12 months of humiliation... $75 an hour
New army to win games with... $450ish ConVic entry... $40 Someone else wearing the bunny ears? Priceless... |

We have a couple of players who have advised they are coming from SA as well HAHA. It looks like we might fill it with fantasy players only. The Fantasy side is certainly leading the way at the moment but the number of 40k players in the club will balance that out a bit. b5w |
