Ok gang, I'm posting this in multiple forums so if you've already read it somewhere else please forgive me.
I've got to say, despite not being a massive soccer fan I do really love the concept of a Club Challenge (and to a lesser extent the rugby league brits vs aus championship game. For this reason I'd like to propose a 40K Qld Club Challenge event to decide which club has the best player on their roster. The way I'm thinking at the moment is that every qld club is invited to send their best player along to a one day 3 game event (probably held at a QGG games day - organisers, please let me know if this is possible). Each club can go through their own selection process - winner of a league, club only tournament, whatever. The aspiring champions will play 3 games in a one day tourny where the armies will be supplied - no comp necessary as they'll be written up as evenly as possible. The aspiring club champs should be good enough with a variety of armies that they'll be able to perform with any army supplied to them. I'm putting it forward that clubs will pay a small tournament fee and the prize for being the best 40k club in qld would be some terrain for the club and minis for the winner. Thoughts, criticisms, total waste of time? -------------------- Hello, my name is Glenn Blair. Proudly not having Force Z results count towards my ranking since 2009 |
