Its time to unveil the next army (not space wolves, but they will be back).
I was wondering one day (as i do a lot in Kalgoorlie) about those 'Black Ships' that the Inq boys run about it. Picking up psykers and dropping them of. I wanted to see the boys that work in the ship get out and about. So i struck in the idea of an elite (and mobile) force that drops in and picks them up sharpish before those nasty psykers can do any harm to our good citizens of the Imperium. I also like to think that these guys will steal babies too! Dirty PSYKER BABIES!! And thats when my rant began! This army will be stealing babies and all sorts of nasty things. All in the name of the emperor. Basic list i am building of is as follows. Will add more of an Inq flavour as we go...................... CCS - 3 Meltas + Oficer of the Fleet Vets - 3 plasma + plas pistol Vets - 3 Meltas Vets - 3 Flamers Psyker Battle Squad - Overseer + 6 psykers (it takes some to know some) Vendetta 3x las + hvy bolters 2x Valks - Mmpods Hvy bolters 2x Valks - Mmpods Hvy bolters. 1200pts (ish) Let the baby stealing commence! (and as this is for arc, its all in the name of science don't you know!) This post has been edited by tartanarmy: Oct 25 2009, 01:10 PM -------------------- I see lead people.

That's a very disturbing concept - why does the image of black shirts and 'trustees' spring to mind? There's some great inquisition equipment that would be great to throw in - hexagramic wards, psydetectors, etc It's a pity you can't have some form of psy-sniffer beast for the squads as well.

Division 5 of the Chosen Squadron Or Dark Order of Collecting the Sanctioned You know or DoCS for short I like the Idea and hope to see some sacks of babies. -------------------- Imperial Zoo at Altdorf

I thought it was the storm troopers that did that kind of dirty work! I remember reading it in some fluff somewhere. Not sure about all the valks though, I understand the idea of the valkyries swooping in but.....

Is it just me or are lascannons, meltagun and plasma guns somewhat over the top for people sent out to capture civilian psykers?

Heya Al,
From my meager experience with Valks, I would chop off the Heavy Bolter door gunners. The valks are best off using a rolling thunder approach and the heavy bolters make them alot more static, only being able to move 6" and fire the lot. A valk with rocket pods can move 12" and fire the MLaser and Pods which is a whole lot of moving dakka. Plus, taking the door gunners off can get you a cheap Elite =][= to add to your theme. -------------------- Knights of Purity and Valour - Kill 'em all, let the Emperor sort it out!

Is it just me or are lascannons, meltagun and plasma guns somewhat over the top for people sent out to capture civilian psykers? Some evil psykers babies are the spawn of crazy ladies and Chaos Lords, and are looked after by hoardes of cultists. Others just have really smelly nappies. -------------------- I see lead people.

This is a kickass i-dea Al!
I would love to see a Witchunter Inquistor in the list. Either the Solomon Lok or Gideon Lorr model would be perfect... This post has been edited by Sirath: Aug 26 2009, 12:48 PM -------------------- Tau Army Wip - UPDATE 26th April - 1,500pts DONE + Melbourne in Flames Report - Round 5

Um... Al... I don't know if you've played with the new guard at all but that list looks a little... um... really gross. As in "Oh, ok, that's your army? Cool, you can have the 20 and I'll just be at the bar when you've finished ruining all the fun"

Have a look at Hasslefree Miniatures for small kids and babies. Wyrd's Malifaux figures also have some babies, though they're generally carrying sharp objects and might not garner much sympathy... Hasslefree would be a good choice for relatively innocent looking figures.

Yeah it kinda looks like it might be.
Maybe tone down the Valks a bit. They are fairly undercosted and hard to deal with at low points. |

I dont think the list is too overboard, it would be something Id like to have a crack at.
Only 30 troop mangs to score with... Also think a cheap inquisitor would be thematically cool in there. -------------------- Armies & Projects- [Australis Lighthorse Imperial Guard] [Deathwing]
