Had some preliminary informal chats with Stalks and Matty Blackwolf re: intended Tourney appearances for 2010.
For me, i'm taking me Tourney whoredom to new heights and would like to do some Wardolly related touring for the new year in addition to supporting local events. Heres whats on my radar. Arcanacon MiLf Eastcon Apoc ][con Bootcamp (roll on the Stompa!) G town Heresy JD (TO) So adding to this, i'm up for some moar interstate and even International events. Terracon (Redneckville) High Lords of Terra/Lords of Terra (NSW....not as good as the original Sth Wales Fields of Blood I think i started looking forward to Terracon 2010 before Stalker was in 2nd gear on the way home and we hadn't even passed the Supermarket. I think i get an invite to High Lords due to high MiF placing and a decent spot in the rankings. Fields of Blood holds some appeal also. Would love to do a WSWA sortie to the land of the Long White Cloud and talk some rugby with my fellow sheepshagging cousins over dice, beer and wardollies. Anybody up for any of this stuff? Lets get some plans in place like. This post has been edited by Welsh Rarebit: Nov 1 2009, 07:51 PM |

Its a good idea to start looking at next years tourneys and decide which ones are go'ers and which aren't. A top benefit of this, is we can pencil those tourneys in on the calender, so our better halves will know we're all booked out for those weekends
So here's my inteded list.... Arc (on reserves list, damn that filled up quick) MiLF Terracon Eastcon JD Worldwide War Bootcamp Apoc ][con Heresy I'm definitely thinking about Fields of Blood in NZ, would be a great little trip. But I'm off to Thailand again in mid August which might scuttle any other OS trips, plus might put Eastcon out of the picture if its held in late August. Have a bit of an interest in the other tourneys not already mentioned that appear on the Melb Tourney Calender as well, like Downfall. Also, I think Rev is back on the calender next year, March or May, something like that. Will prob go to that too. -------------------- Mat

I'd love to hit up as much of the Vic scene as possible, but i'm confident with my residential status shifting to the NSW, than i need to learn more about what else is happening interstate. Eg. Leviathan and so on.

Arc (on reserves) (with more puppies to make me paint them) JD (with nids) Boot Camp (maybe some crazy nonsense next year depends on budget) Icon (depending on what the fallout brings... maybe Eldar since they seemed under-represented) -------------------- |[TENABRAE]|40k|[Hive Fleet Dryad]|[Feral Angels]|infinity|[Yu Jing]|alkemy|[Aurlock Nation]|

For me 2010, will be;
ARC MiF Terracon JD Eastcon Apoc Revolution Maybe Heresy in the later stages if time allows. Would be up for a NZ trip and NSW, but this would definatley knock out some of the other tourney weekends for me. -------------------- Luna Wolves Diary - http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=82085

Ill see most of you boys at Arc, MiF and possibly Kill Count
Ryland, I have made the trip to Fields of Blood the last 2 years running, and its worth it mate! High class field of challenging opponents, and superbly run. Plus, its reasonably 'cheap' to go to Kiwi-land, and there are plenty of hospitable Wellingtonians who would look after any of you guys... even the loud Welsh ones Also High Lords was good last year too, and I think Alex has ironed out any of the small issues there were last year... I am expecting an even better show this year. Will attend even if its just to the open even and not High Lords. Cheers, Tom PS: I estimate the 'Return of Roy' will last 2 tourneys, and then he will get sick of losing and go into semi retirement again -------------------- SA 40k Tournament Information Database

Tommy dood, i'll pitch in and ride your coat tails mate. If you're going to these again, i reckon its worth my while to ride shotgun with you rather than re-invent the wheel when it comes to sourcing accomodation etc. Whaddya say roomy?

Tom, i am frankly both apalled and offended at your remarks. The quality of my gaming has only heightened during my hiatus and i look forward to attending multiple events within the 40k calendar year where i will showcase my brilliant painting and modelling skills for the accolades they deserve, my demure and attitude at the table will be nothing short of exempleary and my generalship skills will be both admired and feared by those who support and face me at the same time, comparisons to other well known Victorian gaming luminaries will be heaped at my feat like grapes at a Roman orgy.
