Have based most of my armies with back to base-ix stuff. But redoing my dwarf army and wondering what else is out there in the way of Dwarf bases. Anyone know of any other companies (preferably with aus distributers) that are doing nice stuff.

depending on the style your after i could make you custom bases. pretty much every base would be individual.

Well Slate and dungeon stone seem good choices, even worn stone.
The Slate or worn stone could be the dwarves fighting outside on the slopes of their mountain strongholds while the dungeon stone could be them fighting inside their tunnels. -------------------- Malifaux Henchman for the Greater Shepparton Shire

Check out the Sponsors threads... I recently picked up some FREE city street bases from Melnibonean as extras with a heap of minis i got from him. However, they are available in packs from his NEW online store, www.fiendishfabrications.com.au he also does a range of different terrain bases and will be adding more soon... |

Those Moonscape ones are awesome, shame they don't come in 25mm. If you have a bit of imagination you can always work on your own concepts... Recently, I made a few bases inserts/build-ups out of Selleys Kneadit and some cork tiles... It only takes a little bit of initiative and some household items and you can do most things yourself. Eg. I constructed a Disc of Tzeentch for a sorceror on foot to ride upon... and Kneadit sets rock-hard... so you know its not going to get damaged when ppl touch it That being said, if you want your dwarves to be standin on paved cobbles, grab some greenstuff/kneadit and smoot it into the rough shape of your base then using a tool (end of your brush, fork prong, toothpick) sculpt the pavement/runes onto the base til you are saisfied... it sets in about 10min, plenty of time to get down to it. Once it sets and you undercoat it, you can then stick static grass/flock/sand to it at your leisure. I also based my knights on broken fragments of cork tile (Im still deciding what to paint the cork) but it crumbles like baked clay earth and it alot lighter than real stone/slate Hope this helped.
