So instead of filling up my WFB Beastman diary with all my Blood Bowl shenanigans (don't pistol-whip me!) I decided to move them here and include my other teams, and future teams, and progress on the new teams.
My aim is to have 3-4 fully painted teams complete in time for Eucalyptus Bowl 2010 so I have a choice of what to take instead of always fielding my trusty Undead team the Drakwald Deadites. I wouldn't mind trying different paint techniques on each team as well, and if I ever move into a place with enough space I'd like to also attempt to build my own pitch. Have an idea in mind and half the parts for it, so just comes down to space to work (my apartment's balconny isn't big enough). So first up are the 2-3 newly assembled teams, and later tonight I'll try and get pics up of the Undead and Vamp teams. "The Drakwald Deadites"
![]() That team was my first over a decade ago. Still use The Count whenever I can. My first BB comp was MOAB '09, took a team with Count, 2 Mummies, 2 Wights, 4 Ghouls, 3 Skeletons, 0 re-rolls. People said I was mad... then I came top half out of 40 players! Don't know final standing. At the back are the extra ghouls/zombie/skele that need to be painted up before Leviathan '10. Took a similar team minus the Count to GoM. Gave every player block for giggles. Came dead last. Ah well, my "Wooden Spoon" was worth the laughs! ![]() And here are the additions to the team for the Necromantic side. Had Frank N. Stein over a decade but never painted him, and that has to change! ![]() -------------------- |

Awesome looking teams
I'm a big fan of making teams out of GW boxed sets, Apart from my Lizardmen, i have a chaos marauders box to turn into norsemen. Looking forward to watching this diary! -------------------- [40K]Space Wolves, Raven Guard, Grey Knights, Flesh Tearers. [Fantasy]High Elves, Wood Elves. [BB]Lizard's [WM]Cygnar, Mercs |

Cheers.
Haven't taken a pic of the vamps yet as they are rather plain GW figures; 8 Thralls undercoated black so far, and 6 bare-metal vamps. I just can't decide the colour for the vamps. Plan is to buy Shadowforge Nuns and Wicked Elves to make Human and Dark Elf teams. Contemplating Roll Jordan for Chaos Dwarves, but I may wait and see for those. Expansion to the PC game finally got anounced, has 20 of the standard teams, only missing CD. People are assuming because GW are going to use the new Forgeworld fantasy team to redisgn hem later this year or next. As for converted teams, I was thinking Marauders -> Norse, but might hold off on that as I don't think the standard Marauder box could do them justice. Definitely plan on Lizardmen though, but can't decide on either converted GW Temple Guard, or Impact Sarcos crocs. This post has been edited by Conan B: Apr 2 2010, 04:22 PM -------------------- |

(You need to get some Saurus left-arms though...) ![]() I should say, great teams too! Nice work Conan- The 'blunderbuss' Ogre looks awesome. Some great ideas, can't wait to see them painted.
Tyra_nid - Big fan of the Lizards, you use a WFB krox for the Krox? or is that the BB one? |

Yeesh it's been a while...
Anyways, latest painted mini. ![]() ![]() ![]() Skaven Blitzer painted for the 2011 CanCon Ausbowl Legacy BloodBowl Team. The team is Underworld this time. I'm improving; only took around 2-3 hours, and actually made use of highlighting. Plan originally was to dip him. Glad I didn't. I also have acquired a new Shadowforge Wicked Elf team, and after finding some cheap box sets at MOAB, an all-plastic Skaven team. Sooo many teams, so little time to paint >.< And yet, I have another team in the works Lots of leftover Beastmen parts, a Dremel, a wad of greenstuff, some sculpting tools, and plenty of ideas. Hoping to have it together next month. I'm enjoying having a variety of teams now, instead of just Undead and low-tier teams. Fast Skaven, agile Elves, and very soon an average all-rounder. Hooray! Anyway will try and get back to painting soon. This mini was just what I needed to get me kickstarted again. -------------------- |

"The Beasts of Short-Wood Forest", a Chaos Dwarf team made up of Beastmen.
The whole team, sans green-stuffed fur / chainmail in the gaps. Not sure on the guy with his arm raised. Ungors are fitting as Hobgoblins. The "chaos dwarf" on the left has his hand behind his back holding a "shank". ![]() Will greenstuff the extra bits then figure out how I want to paint them (dip or my usual style). I really like this, they should look really good when painted. The chaos dwarf conversions look really ominous.
Are you going to use Grashnak for your mino? |

I may end up doing a 3rd BB mino so that the colour theme matches.
I'm thinking of doing up the chaos dwarves with "off-white" robes and bronze / copper armour. I still have to paint my chaos team, but they were going with red/silver, so the mino from that team wouldn't fit with the dwarves. Also after filing down the right foot of the "dwarf" with his arm raised he looked better. Problem was he was leaning back a little. Also, my attempt at chainmail didn't go so well. One has badly done chainmail, and the other two who needed putty work I gave robes down their front below the belt. Looks ok. So now on to paint. Going to paint a Beastmen from the Chaos team first to see if that scheme (dipped) will work ok for the chaos dwarves. -------------------- |
